Theophany Brother William Marrion Branham. Query: Theophany ENTOMBMENT. JEFF.IN ER 55-72 57-0420 42 019 As Job of old, when we hear that "ashes to ashes, and dust to dust," it reminds me of Longfellow, who said: Tell me not, in mournful numbers, Life is just an empty dream! And the soul is dead that slumbers, And things are not what they seem. He said. Yea, life is real! Life is earnest! And the grave is not its goal; For dust thou art, to dust returnest, Was not spoken of the soul. They call it a theophany, that when we leave here we go in somewhere else. Whatever it may be, I take the apostle's Word, when he said, "If this earthly tabernacle or dwelling place be dissolved, we have one already waiting to move from this into that." ENTOMBMENT. JEFF.IN ER 55-72 57-0420 50 023 And then no doubt in my mind, but that's what Jesus had in His mind when He was here on earth, was that infallibility of God's eternal Word. For we know that in Him dwelt the Fullness of the Godhead Body. The entire Godhead was in Him. He was both Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, but dwelt in a human form; the theophany of God, the great image of God that He made man in, then placed him in the earth... He had a body. God isn't without a body. God's got a body, and it looks like a man. Moses saw it; others saw it, and it looks like a man. And it's just an impression, this is, of what that is. And everything on earth, the beauty, the sweetness, the beauty of the earth, is nothing else in the world but an answer to a far better than that, that waits us when we leave this world. For everything in earth is just a pattern of that which is in heaven. Everything that's good, everything that's righteous, everything that's beautiful, trees, birds, everything is just a pattern of what's in heaven.

Our own life is just a pattern. It's just a shadow, and not the real thing. It's the negative side. It takes death to develop the picture, to put us back in the theophany we come from. Then in the resurrection we come in His likeness, a resurrected body. What a beautiful; not only beautiful, but it is the real solemn truth of God's eternal Word, that we'll be like Him. ENTOMBMENT. JEFF.IN ER 55-72 57-0420 77 035 Here He goes. Where did He leave when He left? The Bible said, "He ascended. He went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah." His soul, His Spirit, His theophany of His Own being, went down. Let's follow Him. Would you like tonight to follow Him a few minutes? Let's see where He went. Just below the regions of mortal beings lays the realm of demon power; below that--just above that lays the souls of the unjust; below it lays the very domain of Satan: hell. Then just above us lays the Holy Spirit; then under the Altar lays the souls of the just men; the next is God Himself. One going downward, one going upward; the two spirits are here on earth, influencing the people of this earth. GREAT AND MIGHTY CONQUEROR. JEFF.IN ER 73-88 57-0421M 82 044 My, look at the decisions. At least twenty-five or thirty, sitting among this little group of people this morning, has made a decision. From this great triumph morning, they are going to by God's grace stand out and not be ashamed of the Gospel, for It's the power of God unto salvation. O God, as these hands has gone up, and the music is sweetly echoing back down the road, as we have passed from death unto Life, for Thou hast said, "He that heareth My Words, and believeth on Him that sent Me hath Everlasting Life." They've passed from death unto Life, because You became death that they might become Life through Your resurrection. You were made lower than the Angels, come down to be a man, come out of that great Theophany from beyond, and was made flesh, and had Blood, and shed that Blood, that You might make a way of escape for all of us. Then not only did it (we read it in the Bible), but You proved it infallibly by raising from the dead, and raising the dead when You were here on earth; not only that, but You give, You've made it a double proof, as You did to Abraham; now, besides that, You sent back the Holy Ghost as a Witness. And we have His blessed Presence with us and in us, guiding us, leading us into all Truth and Light.

WE WOULD SEE JESUS. SASKATOON.SK 57-0516 E-15 015 "Ye shall see Me." That better? All right. Ye shall see Me. Now, if Christ has risen from the dead, and we are given the invitation and the Scripture that He promised, that He--we could see Him, and that we--He would be the same yesterday, today, and forever, then would you desire to see Him? Would you? If you'd raise your hands? Would every Christian believe it that? I--I would, with my hands up; I would love to see Him. Well, now, how can we see Him? The way we can see Him is by His works. Now, he hasn't to come in a corporal body yet, among us. He's here in a spiritual body (You believe that?), a spiritual body called the Holy Spirit. He's in the form of the Holy Spirit. In the beginning God was a Spirit. And all the fountain of goodness and mercy and power, and all the good things of love, God was the center of that fountain. And then the Logos that went out of God in the beginning become what we would call a theophany, or a--a supernatural body. God is just not like the air, but He's in a body. Moses seen Him pass and said it looked like the back part of a man, and so forth. And then that same theophany was made flesh and dwelled among us. And we beheld Him, the only begotten of the Father, Christ. LIFE. JEFF.IN 57-0602 E-22 022 Let's close our eyes to our imaginations for a few moments and go way back into the--'fore there was anything. The great fountain of all eternity was that spirit of love, joy, that spirit of honesty, that spirit of trueness in this perfection. And then out of the existence of the Father went the Logos which was the Son, which was the theophany, which was the body of the great Jehovah God went forth in a celestial Body. That's the Logos. The Word spoke out of them great Fountains of Life and went forth. And there was the theophany, which was God made into Word. E-23 023 Then that theophany was made flesh in the Person Christ Jesus. And then all the fullness of the Trinity dwelt in Him, both Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all in that. And that's the very way we go, plumb back to the original beginning of God. There we are borned again not of flesh, borned again not of blood, but borned again by the Spirit. And in that eternal Spirit of love and honesty comes down to make Its place in us. And then when we die from this life, we go into the body which... If this earthly tabernacle is dissolved, we have a theophany to go into, a body celestial.

Then at the coming of the Lord Jesus, this body is picked from the earth again and made in a glorified state to live in His Presence forever. Then all the perversion, all the things that was in--in the perversion all goes out of existence. Flesh goes to its punishment. Hell opens up her mouth and swallows in all the evil and the perversion. And God and His beloved Church, His Bride, takes their stand for the eternities to roll on. That's the great hope of the Christian Church. THIRSTING FOR LIFE. CHICAGO.IL 57-0630 E-12 012 The Logos that went out of God as... No disregards to Catholic people now. But the Catholic church, I... My background, my family's Catholic. And I have the--the Catholic people here, the book called "Facts of Our Faith." And they use the word of eternal sonship of God. The word don't even make sense to me. The word "eternal" means "eternity, which had no begin or has no end." And "son" means "had a beginning." So how could it... It could be a eternal Godship, but never an eternal sonship. A son is one that's begotten of. So it had a beginning. So... And the Logos, which was the Son of God went out, created by these great fountains of purity, God, as those Spirits went out, and it created the Logos. And it was a body. It was in the form of what we are now, which is called in the clergy way of speaking it, a theophany. It's a body that doesn't have a spirit in it. It's a body that's waiting for you Christians. As soon as the life leaves this, you go into that body. When this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting, a theophany. E-13 013 Now, when God was in theophany, which was Christ in the making, then that theophany become flesh and dwelled among us. Then that was to redeem. He came from there down through this to redeem this creature, give it life, and take it back up into the eternal one. See? Now, there's only one Eternal Life, and that lays in God only. And God only has Eternal Life. And we have been privileged to become the sons of God. Then that word: "He that heareth My words and believeth on him that sent me, hath Eternal life." The Greek word "Zoe," there used for God's own life. The creature that accepts Him becomes a part of God and is just as eternal as God is. That's right. There's no reason for us to doubt that. It's God's everlasting, eternal Word. And everything that had a beginning has an end. So what... JEHOVAH JIREH. I said, "Well, it was very easy for God, the Creator, Who made all things, just to grab a little handful of cosmic light, and calcium, and potash, and phffff [Brother Branham illustrates--Ed.] "Come here, Gabriel, and step into that." Phffff [Brother Branham illustrates--Ed.] "Come here, Michael, and step into this." Stepped into it Himself, and come here on earth, and eat, and drink, and vanished out of the sight of Abraham. Hallelujah, I'm glad that that's my God tonight. Sure it is. He holds everything in His hands. Amen. E-41 041 Walked down, He said, "I'm going down to talk to Abraham, He might not understand Me. If I go as a man, he will know it." That was nothing but the pre-figure of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's the Melchisedec and so forth. It was a theophany to begin with, and then It become flesh. And They eat like men, hungry. And while He was setting with His back turned to the tent, He said, "Abraham, you've been asking Sarah how she feels all the time; twenty-five years is passed now. And now, about the--according the time of life, that used to be with her (You know what I'm... Every twenty-eight days), I'm going to visit you. And you're going to have this baby." And Sarah, in the tent, said... [Brother Branham illustrates--Ed.] He said, "What made Sarah laugh?" Talk about mental telepathy, that surely must have been. "What made Sarah laugh?" And Sarah said, "Oh, I never laughed." Said, "Oh, yes, you did." He said, "And I'm going to visit you." HEBREWS CHAPTER 1. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0821 20-126 047 Could you imagine before there even was a earth, before there was a light, before there was a star, before there was anything? There's a Great Fountain going forth of Spirit, and out of this Fountain came the most pure of love; 'cause there was nothing for it to come from there but love. Now, we... What we call love today is a perverted love. But just as we get a essence, or a little bit of that love in us, it changes our whole opinion. Then out of there come another stream off of this main Fountain, the Diamond, and it was called righteousness, absolutely righteousness.

Now, that's the reason we had to have law. That's the reason law has to have judgment. If judgment doesn't follow law, law doesn't do no good. And when judgment was passed by law, which brings death... And there's no one who could pay the penalty but God Himself. And He paid the penalty of our death, and took our sins upon Him, that we might be the righteousness of God through Him. Now, when these great Lights went out, or great rays of Spirit: love, peace... That's all there was. That... There wasn't no suffering; there wasn't no--no hate, nor no malice. It couldn't come from this Fountain. That was Jehovah. That was Jehovah God. And now, as the theologians call it, a theophany went from That, which was called in the Scriptural the Logos, the Logos that went out of God. It's hard to explain, but It was a part of God. 21-129 048 Now, here's what happened. Oh... Excuse me; I--I--I just get on this... This just gets me right where I love it. See? The Logos, and this great Fountain; this great Fountain of Spirit which had no beginning or no end, this great Spirit begin to form in the creation; and the Logos that went out from It was the Son of God. It was the only visible form that this Spirit had. And It was a theophany, which means a body, and the body was like a man. Moses saw It when It passed through the--by--by the rock. And he looked at It, said, "It looked like the hind part of a man." It's the same type of body that we receive when we die here, "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." That was it. And that was the Theophany which was the Son of God. That Son, that Logos became flesh because we were put in flesh. And the Theophany, the Logos, became flesh here among us, and It was nothing else but the dwelling place; for that entire Fountain dwelt in Him. Oh, do you see it? There it is. That was the One that in... HEBREWS CHAPTER 1. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0821 22-133 050 A King come down from Salem and met Abraham coming from the slaughter of the kings. And this King didn't have no father, had no mother, had no beginning of days, nor ending of Life. Who did Abraham meet? Now, think. He didn't have no father; He didn't have no mother. He never had a time that He began, and He never has a time when He'll end. So that same King of Salem has to be living today. Amen. You see it? It was that Theophany that was that Son of God. And he met the King of that Salem coming down, and he paid Him a tenth of all the spoils. Amen. That got it. Oh, Brother Graham, that was Him. That was Him. HEBREWS.CHAPTER.1. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0821 24-141 055 So He said, "I can't keep this secret from Abraham, because seeing he's the heir to the earth." But He said, "I'm going down to destroy Sodom. I'm going down..." "What are You going to do, Mister? Where You from? What's it all about?" Come to find out, He said, "And another thing, Abraham, you've waited twenty-five years for this promise I give you. You done got all the Birdeye up, and the--the pins and everything for this baby, twenty-five years ago. And you still been waiting on Me. And I'm going to visit you just about the time of life, according to the time of life; next month I'll be with you." And Sarah, back in the tent... And this Man had His back turned to the tent, talking to Abraham like this. And Sarah went... [Brother Branham illustrates by snickering--Ed.] He said, "What made Sarah laugh?" Oh, how about that? That was quite a telepathy, wasn't it? "What made Sarah laugh?" Sarah said, "No, I never laughed." Said, "Oh, yes, you did." She was scared. She was trembling. Who was That could know what she was doing back in the tent. That's that same God that's with us today, same One. He knows all about it. See? He just reveals it as you have need. See? "What's you laugh about?" See, His back turned to it. The Bible stated that, that His back was turned to the tent, but He knew it. What she back there doing this... (You see?) So He said, "I'm going to visit you." Who is this strange Fellow? You know what happened? He walked right out there and vanished. And the Bible said that That was Almighty God, Jehovah, that great Fountain, that Theophany, that Logos. 25-149 056 Some preacher said to me some time ago, said, "Brother Branham, you wouldn't actually think that was God, would you?"

Somebody said, "Our fathers eat manna in the wilderness for forty years." He said, "And they're every one dead." Said, "I'm the Bread of Life that come from God out of heaven. He that eats this Bread shall never die." Said, "Well, our fathers drank from a spirit--from a spiritual Rock that was in the wilderness, that followed them." He said, "I'm that Rock." Glory. St. John the 6th chapter... Why, they said, "What?" "Yes, that's right." Why, he said, "You are... You're not even fifty years old." We know now that you're a devil." He said, "Before Abraham was, I AM." There He is. Who was the I AM? A perpetual Name for all generations. That was the--that Pillar of Fire in the burning bush: "I AM THAT I AM." There He was, that Theophany made here, called the Son of God, the I AM, the Jehovah. HEBREWS CHAPTER 1. Said, "Come here, Gabriel (that great Archangel)," went [Brother Branham blows--Ed.] "Step in that. Come here, Michael (the Angel on His right side [Brother Branham blows--Ed.] for the Jew), step in that." God and two Angels walked down here in human flesh, and drank the milk from a cow, eat the butter out of the milk, and eat some corn bread, and eat the flesh of the calf: two Angels and God. The Bible said so. That's Melchisedec that Abraham met coming from the slaughter of the kings. That's the Son of God. HEBREWS CHAPTER 2 PART 3. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0828 80-278 025 And now, the Logos that went out of God, which was the-the Logos, all this begin to form into a--a body shape. And this body shape was called in the scholar's teaching, "Logos," the Logos that went out of God. In other words, a--a better word for it was a--what we call a theophany. Theophany is a human body that's glorified, not exactly with flesh and blood like it will be in it's glorified stage, but it is of a form of a human body that doesn't eat, neither does it drink, but it's--it's a body, a body that's waiting for us as soon as we leave this one. Now, in there, we enter into that body. And that's the kind of body that God was. For He said, "Let Us make man in Our own image and in our likeness." 80-279 026 Now, when man become into that body, he had control of all the fishes, and fowls, and--and beasts of the field. And then there was no man to till the soil (Genesis 2). He done made male and female, but there was no man to till the soil. Then God made man out of the dust of the earth. He give him a hand like a--like a chimpanzee, give him a foot like a bear. He give him... He made him on the image... And this earthly body is in the image of animal life, and it's made out of the same kind of material. Your body's made just the same kind of material as a horse, or a dog, or anything like that. It's made out of calcium, potash, petroleum, cosmic light. You're just no... All flesh like that is... Not the same flesh, it's different flesh, but it's made out of the dust of the earth where it come from. But the difference between an animal and a man, God put a soul in a man and He didn't put it in the animal, because the soul that was in the man is that theophany. HEBREWS CHAPTER 3. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0901M 100-82 032 Peter had an experience one night while he was praying. That same Light come into the building, opened up the doors before him, went out into the streets. And Peter thought he was dreaming; he was so anointed. He didn't know what taken place. He said, "Have I just woke up? But I'm out here on the street."

And he went down to John Mark's house. And the little girl opened the door, some little lady there, been in a prayer meeting; "somebody was knocking at the door." Opened up the door, "Oh," she said, "here's Peter right now. You're praying for him to get out of prison; the Lord has delivered him." "Oh," they said, "go on." "O Lord, deliver him." "Why," she said, "he's standing at the door knocking." Peter just kept pounding; "Let me in." "Oh," she said, "it's Peter." In them days they still have it, a little draw bar, a little lid here you raise back and look out. See? 'Fore you let your guest in, you have to know who's knocking at your door; 'cause they had robbers, if you opened the door, they'd kill you. So he opened the door. She said, "It's Peter." They said, "Oh. Oh my, he's dead. That's his angel standing there." See? Done got in his glorified body, you know, that theophany. 100-89 033 You remember how we took it, the big diamond, and how it reflected the light, how it went back through there? "The... this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." And they thought Peter done died, and this old body had dropped and they'd bury it in a few days; he'd entered into his angel or his glori--not glorified body, but in his theophany, the body that's already prepared. It couldn't shake your hands. It has no hands to shake like that, but it's in an image of a man. Come down and was knocking at the door. She said, "No. It's Peter; he's standing there." He opened the door and walked in, and there he was. Now, Peter had been delivered by this Light. HEBREWS CHAPTER 4. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0901E 130-62 023 The 3rd chapter and the 17th verse: But with whom he was grieved for forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?

And of all of them that come out of Egypt, only two went into the promised land. Out of the whole antediluvian world in the days gone by, there were eight souls saved out of billions. "Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, and but few there'll be that'll find it." Some people says then, "Brother Branham, what about all these thousands that the Bible said will appear there?" Just remember how many's died in each generation that's been Christians down through the age. They'll all resurrect; that makes up the Body. You expect there be a hundred billion in this America come out, or some other, this world today. There might not be fifty come out. But the great ransomed Church is laying in the dust a waiting. They're God's jewels that's resting in the dust, but their souls are under the altar of God. They're not in their right state. They are in a body, truly, but a theophany, and they cry out to God, "How long?" They could see one another, but they couldn't shake each others' hands, that kind of a body. HEBREWS CHAPTER 4. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0901E 142-132 049 As we had it the other night, God in the beginning was Spirit. And then from God went out the Logos, or the Theophany which was a form of a man called the Son of God (prefigured). He came in earth in a body of flesh, even before He came in Jesus Christ. Now, swallow that one once, brother. I'll prove it to you. When--when Moses saw Him, he said, "Let me see Your form, Lord." And God hid him in a rock. And when He passed by, he said it was the back part of a man. That was that Theophany. That's exactly. Then that Theophany had to be made flesh, not another person, but the same Person had to become flesh to take the sting out of death. Like a bee when he stings, it leaves a stinger. And the... He never left that... He could put a sting in human flesh because it's sin. But, brother, when he stung that Emmanuel's flesh, he lost his stinger. Yes, sir. He can buzz, but he ain't got no stinger no more. HEBREWS CHAPTER 4. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0901E 144-146 053 In the beginning was the same. He was that great Spirit Fountain where all the trueness, all the love, all the peace, everything that was pure was in this Fountain. It begin to form a body, a theophany, the kind of body that we go to, not a glorified body, but an angelic body like: has shape, form. Every time I see a tree, I think, "That tree is a negative; there's a positive somewhere." That tree was made off of something, an Intelligence made

it. And all this earth does is reflect the heavenly. The Bible said so. And if there's a tree here that has to perish, there's one in glory that won't perish. If I see a man... I see a lovely little young couple, man and his wife, walking down the street, sweethearts together. What does it reflect? Blessed be the Name of the Lord. There's one in heaven that'll never perish. If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting, the theophany. HEBREWS CHAPTER 4. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0901E 158-229 085 Just think of it. Is there two Eternal Lifes? You couldn't answer that, could you? There's one Eternal Life, and that's the Life of God. This other kind of life, no matter what it is, it's got a end to it. And anything that had a beginning has an end. But anything that had no beginning has no end. And God said He would give us Eternal Life "without beginning." We were just made a part of Him. And actually the Life that's in us, wasn't brought here by human nature. Nature give us a spirit, but that spirit died, and we got the Spirit of God. Glory to God. Was God a man? Certainly. "Let us make man in our own image." What was God? A Theophany, a Body. And there God... Man was made like that and put over the garden, but's there's no man to till the soil in the senses. Then He created man out of the dust of earth in the animal life, and that man tilled the soil. And the man fell by transgression. Correctly. And God, the Theophany, come down and was made flesh and dwelled among us to redeem the man. HEBREWS CHAPTER 5 AND 6. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0908M 174-55 026 What did we find Him to be? We found Him to be the great Jehovah God made manifest in flesh. We found Him to--to be not a prophet, but the Fullness of the Godhead bodily. He was Jehovah made flesh. And the body, Jesus, only tabernacled Him, God dwelling in man, God being reconciled to man, through man, by the virgin birth of His own Son. And Jehovah, the Spirit, dwelt in Him. Now, how many remembers the teaching about the Godhead? How we went back and found God like the great rainbow with all the different spirits, how it was... And then the Logos went out of God, which become the Theophany, and that was in the form of a man. And Moses seen It pass by in the cleft of the rock. And then that Theophany was made absolutely human flesh, Christ. And how we find out, that we through His grace have Eternal Life. Now, the word "forever" is "for a distance, for a

space of time." It said in the Bible, "Forever and forever," a conjunction. But "forever" only means "a time." But "eternal" means "forever." And only everything that had a beginning has an end. But things which had no beginning has no end. So God had no beginning and He has no end. 175-57 027 And so therefore, Melchisedec, the great Priest (like a man), He had no beginning, and He has no end. And when we, through that Theophany that... We were made in the image of God before the world was ever made. When that Theophany has been made flesh and dwelt among us, then through His death we ourselves receive His Spirit and we have no end: Eternal Life; not Angels, but men and women. Oh, I somehow, if I could only get it in a way that my--my audience would catch it. You will never be an Angel. God made Angels, but God made man. And what God does is off of God, which is as eternal as God is. And man's just as eternal as his Creator, because he was made from eternity. HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 AND 7. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0915M 254-532 022 And in one of the illustrations we were giving in the previous lessons... (Just a little background so the newcomer would understand.) God, on His road up to Calvary, as the sting of death was upon Him and was buzzing around Him, and finally it stung Him till He died... He died till the sun quit shining. He died until the moon and the stars would not give their light. For had... He had to do that to anchor the stinger of death. If He'd been an immortal Person, if He'd been in the theophany, or been in the Spirit, death has no control of that. It had to become flesh, that He could take the stinger of death. But when a bee or an insect who stings, once sting deep, he'll never sting again. He leaves his stinger in the flesh. And that's what Christ be--or God became Christ, dwelt in flesh, that He might anchor in His own flesh the stinger of death. And when death pulled away from Him at the cross, it left its stinger; it could not sting a believer anymore. It could make a humming noise; it could make a buzz and a threat, but it cannot sting. It has no stinger. The great Saint Paul on his death march screamed and said, "O death, where is your sting, and, grave, where is your victory? But thanks be to God Who's done give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ," for both death and grave has lost its power.

HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 AND 7. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0915M …Now, someday He'll raise this veil up, not borned of a woman by the sex desire of man and woman; but by the will of God He'll speak and she'll come to pass. Then we'll have a body like His own glorious body. We'll be veiled so we can talk to one another, shake one another's hands. 267-611 056 Now, when we go from here, there's a tabernacle, a theophany, just a image of a man, that don't eat, don't drink, don't sleep, awake forever. There's where we go to. But they're waiting under the altar, crying, "Lord, how long? How long?" to come back down because they want to shake hands with one another; they want to set down and eat and talk to one another. They're human. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. When God made man in His own image at the beginning, He made him thus. He fellowshipped with one another because we know one another. We like the things that God made us, because we were made thus. And in His great coming, those who are ready will be thus forever, immortal we'll stand in His likeness. Oh, blessed be that Name of Christ. HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 AND 7. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0915M 269-628 063 ... the forerunner is gone--has for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. This great Forerunner has gone before us, making a way. He's become from a Spirit, the great fountains of the rainbow of God, Who had no beginning or no end. He was forever God. This ray of light went forth; it was a ray of love. That's the main one, red. The next color follows, which was blue: blue, the trueness. Next, followed after that was other colors to the seven perfect colors, which is the seven Spirits of God, that went from that great Fountain and that great Diamond that Jesus spoke of, that great Diamond that's chipped to reflect these colors. God was made flesh and dwelled among us, that He might reflect His goodness and mercy among us by gifts and signs and wonders. That whole big rainbow had become in a theophany of--made in the image like man. Yet He wasn't a man; He didn't have flesh yet; He was a theophany. HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 AND 7. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0915M … You say, "Then, Brother Branham, why would He have to come back and be born?" He wasn't born then; He was just created, a body that He dwelt in.

270-634 065 Melchisedec was the King of Salem, which is the King of Jerusalem, which is the King of peace; which had neither father nor a mother, beginning of days or ending of life. Jesus had both father and mother, and a beginning of days and ending of life. But He was made after the order of Melchisedec which had no beginning of days nor ending of life. Melchisedec was God Himself. Melchisedec was Jehovah God, the same One that met Abraham years later in front of his tent, had His back turned to him; He said, "Why did Sarah laugh?" That's right. He was the One Who stood there, looking over towards Sodom. Abraham recognized Him, because inside of his veil was an anchor holding that promise, not because he had some sensation, but God made him the promise. And when he come into contact with that great magnet, he knew It was in that flesh. 270-636 066 Walked out with Abraham, out there a little piece; He told Abraham said, "Seeing that I'll keep these things from Abraham, to see that he's a heir of the world; I just won't do it. So, Abraham, I'll tell you what I'm on My road to do (We'll pick it up tonight.) down there in Sodom (and what they--all He was going to do)." And as soon as He had blessed Abraham, He went back into space again. A Man that stood there and had dust on His clothes, a man... And not only that, but He eat the flesh of a calf that Abraham killed, and drinking the milk from the cow, and eat some hoecakes (some corn bread), and had butter on it. That's exactly right. And then turned back to a theophany again. HEBREWS CHAPTER 7 PT 1. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0915E 292-28 018 Now, when Melchisedec was on earth, He was nothing in the world but the--the Jehovah God made manifest by creation; He was here like a theophany. Abraham met Him once in his tent. And as we said this morning, Abraham recognized Him. And He told Abraham what He was going to do, because He was not going to leave the heir of the world blind to the things that He was going to do. May I stop here for a minute to say God still has the same opinion about His Church. You're not children of darkness; you're children of Light. And the... We who... "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." And would the God Who acted to--to Abraham who was to inherit the earth... And He said, "I will not keep these things back from the man that's going to inherit the earth." How much more will He reveal His secrets to His Church that's going to inherit the earth.

HEBREWS CHAPTER 7. PT 1. JEFF.IN HEB 57-0915E 305-95 052 Now, the Son of God had to come through a woman to be created here by the--the womb of a woman, because through that same thing come death. And He could not come through creation like God did at the beginning. When God made man at the beginning, woman had nothing to do with it. God just said, "Let there be," and a man came from the dust; He called him without any woman to have anything to do with it. But the woman that then was in the man... And God took the woman out of Adam's side. Is that right? And then woman went and brought man through sex. So the only way that God could do... He couldn't come in that theophany. He couldn't come as Melchisedec. He had to come as a man, and He had to come through the woman, "Thy Seed shall bruise the serpent's head, and his head will bruise your heel." Get it? God had to come through a woman; and He did when He dwelt in His body of His Son Christ Jesus. God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. And He offered His Own Blood as a sacrifice, and gave His life, that through the channel of death, He might save you unto Eternal Life. QA. HEBREWS PART 2. JEFF.IN COD 57-1002 273-385 035 Now, he's speaking of the soul, the spirit. For we pack our bodies over the grave of the saintest of us, for this body. And the body... In the first place, when God, the Logos that went out of God... Or, as I have went through it, the Catholic call It, "the eternal sonship of God."... Which as I have said before, the word doesn't even make sense. See, there cannot be an eternal son, because a son had to have a beginning. And so Jesus had a beginning; God had no beginning. See? But the Son was the... Not eternal sonship, but the Son that was with the Father in the beginning was the Logos that went out of God. And it was the Theophany of God that went out, the human form that didn't have eyes like you see: a better eye. It didn't have ears like you hear, but a far more hearing. See? It was a Theophany, that all this rainbow condescended into a--a Theophany. Moses saw It when It passed through the rock like that. He saw the back parts, said, "It looked like a man."

QA. HEBREWS PART 2. JEFF.IN COD 57-1002 273-388 036 Abraham saw Him when He stepped down into human flesh and eat a calf, drank some milk, eat the butter. Abraham saw Him as He just stepped in, and then vanished right away from it. We found out that our bodies are made of sixteen elements of the earth; they just come together. And God pulled them together, and put two Angels in these bodies, Angels that stood and talked. And Angels were men at one, and there at that time. Now, notice, we find out that, Who was Melchisedec but God Himself. It couldn't have been no one else, for He was the King of Salem which is Jerusalem. He had no father nor mother; couldn't been Jesus, 'cause He had father and mother. He had no beginning of days, no ending of Life; there's only One that has that; that's God. It was God dwelling here in a Theophany. See? Notice, King of Salem... QA. HEBREWS PART 2. JEFF.IN COD 57-1002 277-412 047 Yes, notice, Now, my Jehovah Witness friend, I'd like to ask you about that. See? If hell is a place... Hades, Sheol, whatever you wish to call it, if that ceases at the grave, then why did He say, "I'll not leave My soul in hell, neither will I suffer Thy holy One to see corruption"? How about that? See? Here His body was in the grave, and his soul was in hell, preaching, alive. What about that? He was in His Theophany again. His soul was down there with those people that were in...?... theophany also, and was witnessing to them that they repented not in the long-suffering. He... In other words, He'd knocked at the door. And when the door swung open, and all those souls that repented, He said, "I'm the Seed of the woman. I'm the One that Enoch here..." Over in paradise, another place... Don't never lose them three places, now: the place of the wicked, the place of the righteous, and hell itself (See?), just like a trinity of heaven: like Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Like the trinity of the beast: the false prophet, the beast, and the--and the mark of the beast... And all that, remember, it's all in trinity. Trinity makes one, perfected. One is perfected. You're perfected, one in three: soul, body, and spirit: water, blood, and nerves. See, whatever you was, you have to take three to make a perfected one. Take a three cornered piece of glass and put the sun on it, you got a perfected rainbow. See, everything, you have to have three to make a perfect one.

QA. HEBREWS PART 3. JEFF.IN COD 57-1006 … When Adam and Even had their children in Eden... Now, watch, that's the question: When they had their children in Eden, was there other people on earth at this time? No. Then in Genesis 5:16 (You see?) Cain dwelt in the land of Nod and knew his wife. Sure. See? 306-601 018 That's Genesis 1, where He created man in His own image, which was in the theophany. And in Genesis 2, He made man out of the dust of the earth, which was the human man that we have now. And then in 3 was the fall and was kicked from the garden of Eden; and then the children begat children. And Cain took his wife and lived with her in the land of Nod, outside, because God had separated him from the fellowship with his own brother, because of the death of--of Abel. And that's who he had, his own sister, and married her; is the only way that I could, myself, can see how that--that he married. QA. HEBREWS PART 3. JEFF.IN COD 57-1006 313-639 033 God, in the beginning when He knowed that... Man and women was made one, not two; they were made one. They were separated, one put in flesh and one in a theophany. He knew that. So in order to prove that to you, when God made the woman, He never took some dust and made her like He did the man; He took a rib out of the side of Adam, and she become a byproduct of a man, because she's part of him. You get it now? See? There you are. There the angels... And God and the spirit that's joined with God is one Spirit. That's right. Now, the Spirit of God that dwells in the Church, is the Spirit that come from heaven, that God knew before the foundation of the world, that rejected the Devil's lie. And that spirit had to take a body of flesh to be--to take his testings. He had to come flesh like these others did, and all of them put on the equal yoke. And God, by the beginning, knowed the spirits that would and which would not. There you are. That Devil is so wise he has--deceive the very elect, if possible. QA. HEBREWS PART 3. JEFF.IN COD 57-1006 339-Q-74 096 Now, one more thing I want to hit just before we close; it'll take me about two minutes. 74. Where will the saints be after the one thousand years' reign? And what kind of a body will they have?

I think that's the sweetest question; I just love that. Now, let's look right straight into it. In the beginning God... We'll go back to our Hebrew teaching just for a few minutes. God was this great big fountain of seven colors. How many knows that? See? And how many knows that God has seven Spirits? Absolutely, seven Spirits. And there was seven eyes in the lamb, and so forth, all that coming together now. See? Now, that was God. Now, when He, the Logos went out of God, which was God coming from this one big fountain into a body in the form of a--of a man, and it made the Logos, which we call theophany... 339-824 097 Now, if you take the theophany when you are looking at that, that's a man. Now, that we... Now, that's where we were in the beginning. Now, you do not understand it now, but you was back there in the beginning that way. When man made... When God made man in His image, He made him a theophany. And He only placed him in flesh... When God made man in His image, in His likeness, they were... In Genesis 2, there were... Or Genesis 1:28, I believe it is, "There was no man yet to till the soil," and God had done made male and female. That's right. "No man to till the soil..." Then God brought man a little lower down and put him in animal life; that's this body, just like the animals so that he could till the soil, could touch. That theophany doesn't touch; it doesn't see, taste, smell, hear, these senses that we have. So God put man down there in order to--to touch and to feel. 340-826 098 And--and as he walked through the garden of Eden, first as a theophany (like the Holy Spirit is in here now walking in here), it led the animal life. It controlled everything, but it couldn't till the soil. See? So God put him in flesh so that he could till the soil, give him his five senses to till the soil and fix up the--the vineyards and--and so forth, and then the man still looked lonesome. Oh, this is a beautiful picture. Look, for when he was first made, he was made two people together. He was made both male and female; the man was. The Bible said he was. God made man both male and female, "created He him." Notice. Now, when man was separated from the theophany and put in flesh, he was-he wasn't just altogether there; part of his being was still a theophany, so it didn't look right. There went the male and female in the cow; there went the horse; and there went the ox; and there went everything else, pairs. But Adam, he...

it was... See, there was something lacking. That very crave showed that there was a mate waiting for him. You get it? And the very thoughts that we have to die here, that we're troubled and perplexed, and we long for a Life that has no death, it shows it's waiting for us. See? 340-829 099 And Adam was lonesome. And God, to show that they could not be separated... (Now, I'm going to get back into this same thing, just a second.) Look, He never went and got dirt and made a Eve, but He made from the original dirt: Adam. He took a rib from his side and made him a helpmate, and that was Eve. She was made for the man and part of the man. She was part of him in the beginning in the creation in the theophany. She was part of him down here in this creation. She could not be divided in another creation; she had to be made in the same creation. That's exactly why Christ and God had to be the very same Person; it could not be anything different. If He'd been a good man or a prophet, He wouldn't have been a Redeemer; He had to be the Creator Himself. But He's still a theophany now (You see?) and the way He was then. QA. HEBREWS PART 3. JEFF.IN COD 57-1006 342-841 104 What do we do? Well, my dear sainted brother, my dear sainted sister, before the foundation of the world, when God created you in His image, or created the--the man in His image, and created the woman in the image of the man for the glory of the man, He made you a theophany just like Hisself, when He said, "let us" to the creatures that He had made, "let us make man in our own image, in our likeness..." a theophany. God had never become flesh yet; He was in a theophany. And Moses saw Him. Moses cried, "Lord, let me see You." He said, "Go yonder and hide in the rock, in the cleft. And Moses got back in that cleft; and when God passed by, the lightning and thunders... And as God passed by, He had His back turned like this. And Moses said It was the back of a Man. Hallelujah. Who was It? The Melchisedec that come down, the King of Salem, with no father and mother, no beginning of days or ending of life. That's Him. And He come down; that's the One that talked to Abraham; that gathered Him up a little body of flesh like that, and [Brother Branham blows--Ed.] breathed into it, stepped into it, and come down and eat a calf, drank milk from a cow, and eat some butter and corn bread. And the two Angels... And when He walked out there, and all of that stuff just [Brother Branham blows--Ed.] vanished and went away.

QA. HEBREWS PART 3. JEFF.IN COD 57-1006 343-847 106 Then you take a toothpick (you know, the flat part on a toothpick) and reach down in your powder and get that thing full of powder, just about four or five little grains, and lay it on top of there, and then put your bullet in there. Stand here, and you got a bullet in your hand in a second. And shoot it out there at the ground hog setting two hundred feet from you, and the ground hog never even moved. The bullet turns back to its original conditions, back to gases. Here's a bullet that's copper and lead mixed together, and one split second it's back till you'd never find it again. It went back like it was a hundred billion years ago, back to gases. Those gases have to form and come back into copper and into lead, and so forth, like that. Those gases has to settle. 344-848 107 Now, there you are. That's the way we are here. We come from a higher being. In the beginning we were in the image of God. The veil and the darkness keeps us from knowing it now. But Jesus told His disciples He was with them before the foundation of the world. See? We were. You can't know it now, but you was in the beginning. And if this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting. Hallelujah. And then we move into this theophany, what we once lived, so we can eat and shake hands. And the souls under the altar cry, "How long, Lord?" QA. HEBREWS PART 3. JEFF.IN COD 57-1006 344-854 110 There's no doubt, Jesus said, "These things that I do, shall you also." And He said, "I do nothing till the Father showed Me." What is that? That's the Light that's come mixing into this darkness (You see?) to redeem us. Get what I mean? Now, someday it goes right back to there, and then when the theophany becomes immortal flesh again like it was in the beginning, then Jesus comes, and God... When Christ will be one... Christ will set on the throne, and all the people will be human. Christ will be on the throne of David, a man, the Lord Jesus, never to die. Never will we die; never will we be sick, have no more sorrow, and we will live through the thousand years. YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. JEFF.IN V-2 N-4 58-0928E 26-4 079 And here when righteous Abraham... Glory. Oh, I just feel real good. When righteous Abraham met Melchisedec, Who was God Himself... Who was Melchisedec? The King of Salem, which is King of Jerusalem, King of peace. He had no father. He had no mother. He never had a beginning of days nor ending of life. Ever who He is, is still living. He never was born. He never will die. He never had father or mother. He never had a beginning of days nor ending of life? Tell me Who it was. The eternal God in what we call a--oh, I forget just what you call that now: theophany? Is what it is--just in, like not a myth, but yet it's something made manifest. Like He come to Abraham in the tent up there, like an Angel, and prophesied and told Sarah. She laughed behind Him, and so forth, the same--the same thing. And here He was. He met Melchisedec, and grand--great-grandfather Abraham, in the seed of the righteous, paid tithes to Melchisedec, and it was allotted to his great-great grandson down here, the seed of the righteous.

But the Bible said that in the last days right at this time, before the coming of the Lord, that there'd be a spirit come on earth inveiled in human flesh--man, like it was at Sodom and would be able to discern the thoughts of the mind, like that Angel did there, as it was in the days of Sodom. Get another one for Hisself, "Whew. Step in there..." Why sure, He will call me someday, and I may not no--be no more than that, and He will call me back into my body at the resurrection. We got the mighty God for our God. Sure I believe it was Him, and then disappear and vanish. He just used that just as long as He wanted to, then just send it back to the dust again. He will use you as long as He wants to, and then send you back to the dust. He will use me as long as He wants to, and then I'll go back to the dust. But oh, that glorious thought, that that glorious truth, that someday He will call and we'll rise from the dust. We're looking for that hour. REJECTED KING. JEFF.IN V-2 N-23 60-0515M 19-1 053 I don't know my days. No one does. The other morning I was laying in my bed. And I was--had been asleep, and I dreamed that Joseph was sick, and I'd picked him up to pray for him. And when I woke up I was very upset. I said, "Well, maybe Joseph is going to be sick." And I looked going before me in a little dark shadow, rather, of a brownish color, and it seemed like it was me. And I watched it and coming behind it was someone white, and it was Him. I looked over to my wife to see if she was awake that I could show her, if she could see the vision, but she was sleeping. I said, "Oh, I'm sorry, Lord, but that's been my life. You've had to drive me to everything that I done. Every time anything would happen, I'd think it was You doing it, and I realize it was Satan trying to keep me away from it." I said, "If You could only lead me." And as I looked I seen the prettiest face I ever saw on a Man. He was in front of me looking back. He raised His hand and got ahold of mine and started moving this a-way. The vision left me. 19-2 054 Last Sunday morning I was--had wakened up early. That was on Saturday, this vision. On... I've always wearied. I've always thought of dying that me, being fifty, my time is not--didn't think was too long. And I wondered what I would be in this theophany, celestial body. Would it be that I'd see my precious friends and say a little white fog going by and say, "There goes Brother Neville," or he couldn't say, "Hello, Brother Branham." And when Jesus come, then I'd be man again. I often thought that. I was dreaming that I was out west and I--coming down through a little sagebrush place, and my wife was with me, and we'd been trout fishing, and I stopped and--and opened up the gate, and the skies were so pretty.

They didn't look like they do over the valley here. They were blue and the pretty white clouds. And I said to wife; I said, "We ought to have been out here a long time ago, honey." JEFF.IN AD.2 60-0518 97 054 And Paul said, "It does not yet appear just exactly what kind of a body we'll have, but we know we'll have a body like His." What? Did He ever have that theophany body? Yes, sir. When He died, the Bible said that, "He," is a personal pronoun again, "He went to hell and preached to the souls in prison." How did He go down there and how did He do it? He had senses of feeling; He had senses of hearing; He had senses of speech; He preached with that same kind of body I saw those glorified ones in the other night. He preached to the souls that were in hell, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah. But when He rose up on Easter, it was not possible that that Body should see corruption, 'cause David the prophet foresaw it, "I'll not leave His soul in hell, neither will I suffer My holy One to see corruption. Moreover My flesh shall rest in hope, because He will not leave My soul in hell, neither will He leave My holy One see corruption." And on seventy-two hours before corruption could set in, that theophany, that body that went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the longsuffering of days of Noah, rose again, and the mortal put on immortality, and He stood and He eat, and He told us that He was a Man. Hallelujah. ADOPTION OR PLACING. JEFF.IN AD.PT.4 60-0522E 180 086 And what is it when you're way out there in redemption with a brand new body, you've turned back to a young man altogether again, or a young woman; you're never going to die no more. And you look down on earth and think, "I could enjoy some grapes and some good cold water, but, you know, I don't need it here." But someday Jesus is coming, and this angelic body, this theophany that I'm living in, will not come through the womb of a woman anymore; it'll not come through sexual desire anymore; but because that He was born without sexual desire, I'll be resurrected without it. And He will speak someday, and the dead in Christ shall rise, and that body that I once lived in will resurrect into a glorified body; and I'll walk; and I'll talk; and I'll live; and I'll enjoy (Hallelujah) I'll...?... to the...?. Christ Who Jesus... Everybody thought He talked double, but sometimes it was Him talking, sometimes it was a Spirit talking. WHY. In the days of Lot there was the unbeliever, the Sodomites. There was Lot, the lukewarm church and his family. There was Abraham, the called out, setting out in the desert by a choice. I believe it was a theophany; I truly do, because it was God. Two of them--a modern Billy Graham and so forth went down into Sodom and preached to the Sodomites and to the lukewarm church. And they never done any miracles, only blinded them. And preaching the Gospel blinds the unbeliever. We know that. Preaching of the Word blinds him that believeth not.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS. JEFF.IN COD 61-0112 561-329 122 When a baby is being--a baby is being formed in a womb of a mother, soon as it's put there... See, see? But first it's a spirit. As that spirit begins to take on flesh, a little germ of life begins to take on flesh, and as soon as it drops from its... Now, in the womb, it's a little, quivering, jerking muscles. We know that. That's cells. Just like you take a horse hair and put it in the water, it'll cap over and it'll move, and you touch it and it'll jump. That's the way a baby is. But as soon as it's borned in this world and breathes its first breath, it becomes a living soul. See? Because as soon as the earthly body is born into the world, there's a celestial body, or a spiritual body, to take ahold of it. And as soon as this natural body is dropped, there is a heavenly tabernacle waiting for it: "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, there is a heavenly tabernacle waiting for it." Just as soon as--as the baby's dropped into the earth in flesh, there's a spiritual body waiting to receive it. And as soon as the spiritual body--the natural body is dissolved, there's a spiritual body waiting yonder (See?), a theophany we call it (See?), a theophany. 562-330 123 [A brother asks, "Well, now, is that a... is that temporary, pending the resurrection of this body?"--Ed.] Yeah. See? Yeah. Oh, yes. ["That's the condition that we're going to live in until this resurrection?"-Ed.] That's right. See, see? It's not revealed to sons of men yet. I believe... I--I know I saw it. See? But I don't know what kind of a body it is, but I could feel them just the same as I feeled your hands or anything else. 'Course this is on tape, and you may be playing it years after I'm gone. See? But... And that, whatever it was (See?), I was--I was holding those people and catching them, and it was just as real as--as you're real, and yet it wasn't... They didn't eat nor drink. There was no yesterday nor tomorrow. See, it was eternity. 562-332 124 And now, when that tabernacle... They left there in that body, they come back to the earth, and that type of a body they had took on immortality. The--the dust of the earth gathered into that theophany of somehow, and they become human again, had to eat like they did in the garden of Eden. See? "But if this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." So these little children that had no sin (See?), no sin yet, their angels, their "bodies" (the one that Peter had come back in... ) see, was waiting. JESUS CHRIST THE SAME. BEAUMONT.TX 61-0118 E-62 062 Some minister said to me not long ago, "You don't mean to say that was God?" I said, "The Bible said it was God. Abraham called Him Lord; capital L-o-rd, Elohim. He ought to know. He was the one talking to Him." He said, "Well, that was just a theophany." I said, "A theophany don't eat a calf and drink buttermilk." That's right. He was God. The Bible said He was. He was God, brethren. These three Angels... He said, "Why, do you mean they were Angels?" I said, "Sure." "In dusty clothes and eating?" I said, "Sure. You just don't know how great our God is. He wanted to come down to investigate the situation down in Sodom. So I can imagine..." MARY'S BELIEF. BEAUMONT.TX 61-0121 E-27 027 But we notice, that the One that stayed behind to the elected church, He showed a sign. And it was God doing that. it was not a myth, it was not a theophany. A theophany don't eat. He eat the flesh of a calf, and eat some hoecake, corn bread, and some butter on it, and drink the milk from the cow. A theophany doesn't eat and drink: it was God made manifest in flesh. It sure was. And what was He speaking? Jesus said, "As in that day, so will it be..." God will come again, come into the flesh of His people that He had bought and sanctified, and will show to His elected church the same sign that He showed to His elected church back there. IF GOD BE WITH US. JEFF.IN V-15 N-1 61-1231E 57 033 Gideon certainly was a Scriptural man. When the Angel of the Lord said to him... And if you notice, it wasn't the Angel of the Lord here. It said, "And the Lord," capital L-O-R-D. It was not an Angel. It was God. It was a--a theophany in a man, in the form of God, like appeared to Abraham back in the wilderness, and looked like a man. So therefore, being a Messenger, He was the Angel of the Lord.

And He appeared to him. And He said, "Thou mighty man of valor," said He's going to take him, and deliver Israel by him. CONVINCED THEN CONCERNED. PHOENIX.AZ 62-0118 E-106 106 Remember, that flesh... I don't know what it was. They said a "theophany." Ministers try to say it was a theophany. But how does a theophany eat veal chops? No, sir. A theophany doesn't eat. He was a man in a body of flesh, but yet it was God. What was it a sign of? He said, "As it was in the days of Lot and Noah, Lot--so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man," that God would come down into human flesh and make Himself known, just like He did back there. That was a... Remember, that was the last sign that was given before fire fell and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. And this world today, and this nation, and this people has become like a modern Sodom. That's right. And what did He say? "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be--eating, drinking, giving in marriage. As it was in the days of Lot..." What happened when Lot--in the days of Lot? What taken place? Look, an Angel came down, or an Angels in man form. And this Man, with His-not knowing Abraham, told him about his conditions, and about Sarah and what was going to happen, and all about it. And there they found out then that Abraham was convinced that that was God, and begin to plead for his brethren. Is that right? God promised it. PARADOX A. PHOENIX.AZ 62-0128A E-37 037 It certainly was a paradox in Sodom, a little before then, when Sarah laughed at the voice of a Man in human flesh out there, which was God. And He had His back turned to the tent, the Angel did. And He spoke to Abraham, and called him his name, "Abraham" called Sarah, "Sarah," when he'd just received that name a few days before, and said, "Abraham, I'm going to visit you according to the time of life." And Sarah, in the tent, laughed. And the Angel with His back turned to the tent... Not--not one of these, just like a theophany. He was a Man with His back turned to the tent, said, "Why did Sarah laugh in the tent, saying, 'This cannot be so.'?" It was a paradox. WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC. JEFF.IN V-5 N-10 65-0221E 55 028 Notice now His attribute. Then the attribute was first God, the thought, the attribute itself all in one, without being expressed. Word was made flesh and dwelled among us, St. John the 1st chapter and the 1st verse. Notice, this is in the beginning, but before the eternal. Notice, in the beginning was the Word. When the time begin it was Word, but before it was Word, it was attribute, a thought. Then it was expressed. In the beginning was the expression, the Word. Now, we're getting where Melchisedec is. That's this mysterious Person. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And then the Word became flesh and dwelled among us. Hold that there now. Notice. His--His first being was Spirit, God, supernatural (All right?), the great Eternal. Second, He begin to form Himself towards flesh in a theophany, it's called, "the word, a body." This then is the state He was in when He met Abraham, was called Melchisedec. He was in the form of theophany. Now, we'll get to that and prove it in a few minutes, the Lord willing. 58 029 He was the Word. A theophany is something that you could not see. It could be right here now, yet you cannot see it. It's just like, well like television, that's in another dimension. Television... People are moving right through this room now singing; there's colors also, but the eye is only subject to the five senses. Your whole being is only subject to five senses, rather. And you are only subject to what the sight has been limited to see. But there is another dimension that can be seen by a transformation by television. Now, television does not manufacture a picture. A television only channels it into a circuit, and then the television screen picks it up. But the picture's there to begin with. Television was here when Adam was here. Television was here when Elijah set on Mount Carmel. Television was here when Jesus of Nazareth walked the shores of Galilee. But you're just now discovering it. They wouldn't have believed it back there. You'd have been crazy to have said something like it. But now it's become a reality. And so is it that Christ is here. The Angels of God are here. And someday in the great millennium to come it'll be just more real than television or anything else, because they are here. He reveals Himself in His great form of what He claim as He "En morphe's" Himself into His servants and proves Himself. Now, here He is in the form of Spirit. And then He comes in the form of a--of--"En morphe." Now, He appeared to Abraham "En morphe." When

Abraham was returning from the slaughter of the king, here come Melchisedec, talked to Him. WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC. JEFF.IN V-5 N-10 65-0221E 67 032 Now, we see the attribute son of His Spirit have not yet entered into the Word form body, but--a theophany. This body is subject to the Word and earnest--waiting for the earnest change of the body. Now, the different between Him and you as a son... See, He was at the beginning the Word, an "En morphe" body. He came in and lived in that in the Person of Melchisedec. Then later... We never heard no more of Melchisedec, because He became Jesus Christ. Melchisedec was the Priest, but He became Jesus Christ. Now, you bypassed that, because in that form He knowed all things. And you have never been able to know that yet. You come like Adam, like me. You became from the attribute to the flesh to be tempted. But when this life is finished here... "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." That's where we go; that is the Word. Then we can look back and see what we done. Now, we don't understand it. We have never become the Word; we've just become the flesh-man, not the Word. But... And look clearly, makes it clear you will never be the Word unless you was a thought at the beginning. That proves the predestination of God. See? You can't be the Word 'less you're a thought. You had to be in the thinking first. But you see, in order to stand temptation you had to bypass the theophany; you had to come down here in flesh to be tempted by sin. And then if you sin... "All the Father hath given Me will come to Me, and I'll raise him up at the last days." See, you had to be first. And then you see, He come right down the regular line, from attribute to... 70 033 Before the foundation of the world his Name's put on the Lamb's Book of Life. Then from that He become the Word, the theophany, that could appear, disappear; and then He become flesh and returned back again, resurrected that same body in a glorified condition. But you bypassed the theophany and become flesh-man to be tempted by sin. And then "if this earthly tabernacle is dissolved, we have one already waiting." We have not yet the bodies. But look, when this body receives the Spirit of God, the Immortal Life inside of you, it throws this body in subjection to God. Hallelujah. "He that's born of God doth not commit sin; he cannot sin." Romans 8:1. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus; they walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." There you are. See, that throws your body subject. You don't have to say, "Oh, if I could

just quit drinking, if I could just..." Just get in Christ; it's all gone. See, see? Because your body is subject to the Spirit, it's no more subject to the things of the world; they're dead. They are dead; your sins are buried in baptism; and you are a new creation in Christ. And your body becoming subject to the Spirit, try to live a right kind of life... WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC. JEFF.IN V-5 N-10 65-0221E 78 036 Then when a man is borned again from heaven, he becomes a spirit babe in Christ. And then when this robe of flesh is dropped, there is a natural body, theophany, a body not made with hands, neither born of a woman, that we go to. Then that body returns back and picks up the glorified body. That's the reason Jesus went to hell when he died and preached to the souls that were in prison. Turned back into that theophany... Oh, marvelous. Thank God. II Corinthians 5:1 "If this earthly body be dis--dissolved (this earthly tabernacle), we have another one." See, we have bypassed that to come straight from God, the attribute, to be flesh to be tempted and tested by sin like Adam did. But when testing of His Word is over, then we are taken up to this body that was prepared for us before the foundation of the world. It is the Word there that we skipped to come right around down here to be tempted and tested. If we'd have come through that, there'd have been no temptation; we'd knowed all things. That's the reason Jesus knowed all things, 'cause He was Word before He was flesh. Then we become the Word. Here we are formed to the Word image to be a partaker of the Word, feed on the Word, by being predestinated since the beginning. You see, that little spark of life that you had in you from the beginning when you started your journey... Many of you can remember it. You joined this church and joined that church, and try this and that; nothing satisfied. That's right. But one day you just recognized it. Right. WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC. JEFF.IN V-5 N-10 65-0221E 88 039 Then after you recognize the very Word of God was Eagle Food, then you left the other thing. You've then been formed into the living image of the living God. You heard from your theophany. "If this earthly body be dissolved, we have one waiting." You say, "Is that right, Brother Branham?" All right, let's take a couple of eagles and look at them for a few minutes. There was a name--man named Moses. Everyone knows that a prophet's called the eagle in the Bible. There was a prophet named Moses. And
36
Teofanía
one day God called Him--and wouldn't let him go over the land--and he-he died on a rock. The Angels took him away and buried him. There was another man, a eagle, didn't even have to die. He just walked across Jordan, and God sent a chariot down and: "This robe of flesh he dropped and rise and caught the everlasting prize." Eight hundred years later, eight hundred years later on Mount Transfiguration here stood those two men. Moses' body had been rotten for hundreds of years, but here he was in such a form till even Peter, James, and John recognized him. Amen. "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved..." If you're an attribute of God expressed here on earth, you've got a body waiting after you leave this world. There they was standing on Mount Transfiguration in their theophany, for they were prophets to whom the Word came to. 90 040 Also let us notice another prophet one time by the name of Samuel. He was a great man. He'd taught Israel, told them they shouldn't have a king. He said, "Have I ever said one thing to you in the Name of the Lord but what come to pass?" They said, "No, everything you've always said in the Name of the Lord come to pass." He was a prophet. And he died. About three or four years later, the king got in trouble; that was before the Blood of Jesus Christ was ever shed. He was in paradise. And a witch of Endor called for somebody to come, console Saul. And when the witch saw him standing up, she said, "I see God raising up out of the earth." And after the man had been dead, buried, and rotted in the grave, here he was standing there in that cave with his prophet's robes on, and was still a prophet. Amen. 92 041 For he said, "Why did you call me out of my rest, seeing you become a enemy to God?" Watch him prophesy. "Tomorrow night by this time you'll be with me." He was still a prophet, though he was gone from this body. See, he become here and was part of that Word, and he entered from the flesh life back into the body that had been prepared for him before the foundation of the world. He entered into the theophany which was the Word. You get it? That's where all believers go when we turn from here. Then in that form the veil then is lifted. You see you are the Word also when you enter into there. As a little baby as I said awhile ago... Now, notice. Praise God for these opening Seals is my prayer, to know these things. 95 042 Now, the true revelation of Melchisedec comes into view was-that He was God, the Word, before He became flesh, God the Word.

'Cause He had to be; no one else could be immortal like Him. See, I had father and mother; you did too. Jesus had father and mother. But this Man had no father or had no mother. Jesus had a time He started; this Man didn't. Jesus gave His life; this Man couldn't, because He was Life. And it's the self same Man all the time. I hope God reveals it to you, the self same Person all the time. Notice His title, King of righteousness. Now, Hebrews 7:2: King of righteousness and King of peace, He's two Kings. Now, watch, Hebrews 7:2, King of righteousness, also the King of peace. He's two Kings there. Now, since He has come in the flesh and received His body up, in Revelations 21:16 He's called the King of Kings. He's all three of them together. See? King God, King Theophany, King Jesus; He's the King of Kings. It's all met, just like soul, body, and spirit. All comes to make one. Also He is the Father, which was the first, Son, and Holy Ghost, the Spirit. King of righteousness, the Spirit attribute; theophany, King of--of peace, theophany; and in flesh He was King of Kings: same Person. 98 043 When the theophany... Moses seen Him, Exodus 33:2, He was a theophany. Moses wanted to see God. He'd heard His voice, heard Him talk to him, seen Him in a bush there with a big Pillar of Fire. And he said, "Who are You; I want to know Who You are?" Moses said, "I'll put--if You'll let me see You... I'd like to see Your face." He said, "No man can't--see My face." He said, "I'll put My hand over your eyes, and I'll pass by. And you can see My back, but not My face." See? And when He did, it was the back of a Man; it was theophany. Then the Word that come to Moses, I AM; that was the Word. The Word came to Moses in the form of a--a Pillar of Fire in a burning bush, the I AM. As the Word from the theology--or from the theophany, rather (Excuse me.), He came to Abraham as a Man under the oak tree. Now, look at there. 101 044 There came a Man to Abraham, three of them, and set down under an oak tree, three of them. And notice, after He talked to Abraham... Why did He come? Abraham, being the one with the promise and the message of the coming son, and also He was God's Word prophet that was trusting God's Word, calling anything contrary as though it wasn't... See how perfect the Word is? The Word came to the prophet. See, there was God in a theophany, and the Bible said the Word comes to the prophet. And here was the--the Word in the theophany... Now, you say, "Was that God?" Abraham said it was. He said His name was... He called Him Elohim. Now, in Genesis 1 you find out, "In the

beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth." In Genesis 18 we find out that--that Abraham called this Person that set there and talked to him, and could tell him the secrets of his heart, tell him what Sarah was thinking behind Him, Abraham said, "It is Elohim." He was in a theophany form. You get it? 103 045 Notice, after... Now, we find out that He was then in the theophany form. He called Him, "Lord God, Elohim." Now, in Genesis 18 we find that that is true. Now, notice, Abraham... There was three of Them together, but when Abraham met the Three, he said, "My Lord." But when Lot down in Sodom, two of them went down there; and Lot saw two of them coming, and he said, "My Lords." See, what was the matter? The first place Lot was not a prophet (That's right.), or neither was he the messenger of the hour. So he didn't have any revelation of Him. It's exactly right. Lot could call them "Lords," a dozen of them, he could still said, "Lords," but no matter how many Abraham saw, it was still one Lord. There is God; this is the Melchisedec. Notice, after the battle was over, Melchisedec served His victorious child Communion (Think of that.), part of Himself. Now, we want to see here, in type here is in view the Communion. After the battle He gave of Himself, because the Communion is part of Christ. And after the struggle is over, after you've done got yourself whipped out, then's when you partake of Christ, become part of this Being. You get it? WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC. JEFF.IN V-5 N-10 65-0221E 109 047 Notice again, Melchisedec went to meet Abraham before He got back home. What a beautiful type here we have: Melchisedec meeting Abraham before he got back home after the battle. We meet Jesus in the air before we get home. That's right. II Thessalonians tells us that, for we meet Him in the air. A beautiful type of Rebecca meeting Isaac in the field in the cool of the day. We meet Him in the air; II Thessalonians tells us so: "For we which are alive and remain shall not prevent (or hinder) those which are asleep; for the trumpet of God shall sound; the dead in Christ shall rise first; we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air." Perfect, all these types... Therefore the theophany, if you have died and entered into that theophany, what happens? The theophany comes to the earth to pick up the redeemed body. And if you're here in the air, you take the body to

meet the theophany (There you are.), and caught up and go to meet the Lord in the air. Who is this Melchisedec but God? WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC. JEFF.IN V-5 N-10 65-0221E 153 064 She said, "Sir, I perceive that You are a Prophet." She said, "We haven't had one for four hundred years. Now, we know that the Messiah's coming, and when the Messiah comes, that's what He's going to do." That was the sign of the Messiah, for He was the Son of man. Said, "That's what He's going to do when He comes; You must be His Prophet." He said, "I am He." Nobody else could say that. She dropped that water pot, and run into the city, and said, "Come, see a Man Who told me what I done. Isn't this the very Messiah?" Now, remember, He promised to do that same thing at the end of the Gentile race. The Jews had had four thousand years to look for that Messiah, four thousand years of teaching He was coming, and what He would do when He got there; and they failed to see Him, failed to recognize it. And when He made Hisself known in the very Bible terms that He said He would, when He'd been a theophany and then become flesh and dwelled among them, they failed to see it, and called His works the works of the devil. PROVING HIS WORD. LA.CA V-18 N-3 65-0426 …And that Man, with His back turned to the tent, said, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'How can these things be?'" What was that? Discernment, a prophetic. See, see? That's what he seen. 201 063 Now, He said that will return again, and the Son of man, which that was... That was the Son of man right there. Well, he called Him Elohim, Lord God, Elohim; anybody knows that's right. Elohim is the Lord God. "In the beginning Elohim created heavens and earth," the allsufficient One. The Son of man made flesh, there He was standing there in flesh at that time, like a theophany, standing there discerning what Sarah was saying in the tent behind Him. He promised. Watch. The Royal Seed of Abraham is promised to see that same thing. But notice Lot, he had a messenger down there too, two of them went down there. One of them went down, and another one went down with

him, and they preached and called the people to flee from the wrath that was to come. CHRIST REVEALED IN HIS OWN WORD. JEFF.IN V-4 N-10 65-0822M 139 099 I just want to--to let you see a little something here if you can stand it. Watch. When Jesus was manifested in the Old Testament as we believe it... Now, you preachers out there, you can argue with it, do whatever you want to, but I'm talking from my--what I think. See? When Jesus was manifested in the Old Testament in a theophany, in the Person of Melchisedec, not a priesthood, but the Person, the Man... See? For this Man had yet not been born, but He was in a theophany so He had no father, no mother. He was God Himself. He was manifested in the form of a Man called King of Salem, which is King of Peace and King of Righteousness. See? He was Melchisedec. He had neither father nor mother, beginning of days of ending of life. See? It was Jesus in a theophany in the form of a man. Could you go that? All right. I HAVE HEARD BUT NOW I SEE. SHREVEPORT.LA V-7 N-3 65-1127E 211 094 Do you believe that the God that made this promise, that did appear Himself in the Book of Genesis, and appeared to Abraham, and performed that miracle... That same God was made flesh, human flesh, borned of a virgin. That was a theophany there, of course, but then when He come in human flesh and was the same Man, and performed the same things... Don't you believe that if God could get a person (that He promised to do, according to Malachi 4), a channel that He could speak through, He'll perform the same thing He said He'd do there? You believe that? I believe He would too. Do you believe that you could have the faith to touch His garment, His faith to touch the garment? Do you believe present now that something's speaking to your heart that would tell you that you have faith to touch His garment? You believe you could do that? You reach up and touch with your faith then, not with emotion, just with absolutely pure, unadulterated faith. Just say, "Lord, I believe. I believe with all my heart. I want You to touch me, 'cause I--I've heard You done it, now I want to see it with my own eyes." See? Now, I can't touch you; it takes God to do the touching. You believe He'll do it?

Theophanies Brother William Marrion Branham. Query: Theophanies WE WOULD SEE JESUS. SAN JOSE. CA 59-0422 E-44 044 Here they was. There was Abraham, thinking about the goodness of God, twenty-five years, waiting for that baby. And here he was knowing that God was going to do it, and he seen three Men coming, and One of Them was God. Now, this might be... If I--if I'm on here, just do like I do when I'm eating cherry pie. I don't throw the pie away; I throw the seed away. So you do the same way here. Just keep eating pie. The reason I don't believe that's theophanies, is because that I'll tell you why. The man eat veal chops. He eat a calf that Abraham slayed; He drink the milk, and eat some corn bread with butter on it. He wasn't no Spirit, He was a Man. And Abraham called Him Lord, capital "L," Elohim (Amen.), God. Someone said to me, "Billy, you don't mean to tell me you believe that was God." "Sure." IT WASN'T SO FROM THE BEGINNING. PHOENIX.AZ 60-0306 E-53 053 Now, is He the same yesterday, today, and forever? You believe Him to be the same, the same in principle, same in power? The only thing different tonight, that He's using your flesh and my flesh. Because His flesh sets at the right hand of the throne of God in majesty in glory. "And He that overcometh shall set with Me on My Throne, as I have overcome and set down on My Father's throne." Oh, what a wonderful thing. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, setting in the heavens, and all these mortal souls that's just under the altar, look up and see that body setting there, that corporal body. Oh, I feel religious. That corporal body... You noticed, down in Egypt, they gave a corporal body, Joseph, which was a type of Jesus in every manner. That corporal body laid there. And every Israelite, beaten in the back, and--and striped from the Egyptians,

walked down there and looked into that casket and saw that tomb. There laid Joseph's body. And knowed that someday they would go out of there. They were going out. When that body raised from that tomb, and they packed it out, they were going out with it. E-54 054 That's the same way it is in heaven. Those souls under the altar, crying, "How long, Lord? How long?" They're like theophanies there. But now, they're looking to that corporal body of the Son of God setting there, "Someday He will rise from that throne." There you are. Them that are in Christ will God bring with Him at the resurrection. They'll take... This mortal will take on immortality. And then we will be like Him. We will see Him as He is eat the wedding supper with Him, and all forever be with the Lord. Isn't that wonderful? Sent His Holy Spirit down here to come into our flesh, which He has sanctified with His own blood... You believe in sanctification? "Be ye holy, for I am holy." Now, you cannot be holy. I'm not depending on my holiness. I have none. But I'm depending on His holiness. It's His holiness that I'm looking at. Not what... Well, not what I was, but what He is. That's it. Go back to the beginning. There it is: Jesus Christ the same yesterday...
