The Substance of water is composed of two elements: Hydrogen and Oxygen. H2O is the chemical formula for water. More specifically, a molecule of water is composed of two (2) Hydrogen atoms bonded with one (1) Oxygen atom. Water is essential for all known forms of life. In typical usage, water refers only to its liquid form or state, but the substance also has a solid state, ice, and a gaseous state, water vapor or steam. Water covers 71% of the Earth's surface. Water on Earth moves continually through a cycle of evaporation or transpiration (evapotranspiration), precipitation, and runoff, usually reaching the sea. Over land, evaporation and transpiration contribute to the precipitation over land. Liquid water is found in bodies of water, such as an ocean, sea, lake, river, stream, canal, pond, or puddle. The majority of water on Earth is sea water. Water is also present in the atmosphere in solid, liquid, and vapor states. It also exists as groundwater in aquifers. Water plays an important role in the world economy, as it functions as a solvent for a wide variety of chemical substances and facilitates industrial cooling and transportation. All the major components in cells (proteins, DNA and polysaccharides) are also dissolved in water. Each person has a varied amount of water within them. Babies: 78% One year of age: 65% Adult Men: 60% Adult Women: 55% The boiling point of water (and all other liquids) is dependent on the barometric pressure. For example, on the top of Mt. Everest water boils at about 68 °C (154 °F), compared to 100 °C (212 °F) at sea level. Conversely, water deep in the ocean near geothermal vents can reach temperatures of hundreds of degrees and remain liquid. Here are some amazing and interesting facts about water. Most of the earth's surface water is permanently frozen or salty. Of all the water on earth, only 2,5% is fresh water. Fresh water is either groundwater (0,5%), or readily accessible water in lakes, streams, rivers, etc. (0,01%). Over 90% of the world's supply of fresh water is located in Antarctica. Less than 1% of the water supply on earth can be used as drinking water. The earth's total amount of water has a volume of about 344 million cubic miles. In a 100-year period, a water molecule spends 98 years in the ocean, 20 months as ice, about 2 weeks in lakes and rivers, and less than a week in the atmosphere. Frozen water is 9% lighter than water, which is why ice floats on water. When water contains a lot of calcium and magnesium, it is called hard water. Hard water is not suited for all purposes water is normally used for.It doesn't take much salt to make water "salty." If one-thousandth (or more) of the weight of water is from salt, then the water is "saline." The total amount of water in the body of an average adult is 37 litres. A person can live about a month without food, but only about a week without water. If a human does not absorb enough water dehydration is the result. Humans drink an average of 75.000 litres of water throughout their life. Humans daily use about 190 litres (50 gallons) of water. Water regulates the temperature of the human body. If you have caught a fever you should drink lots of water. 95% of a tomato is water. 70% of an elephant is water. A single tree will give off 265 liters (70 gallons) of water per day in evaporation. Each day the sun evaporates a trillion tons of water. Every single believer in the word of God (Acts Chapters 2-22) was baptized in Jesus name. In fact, Jesus command baptism by belief in Mark 16:16. Paul washed away his sins by his faith in the operation of God which raised him and all Christians from the spiritually dead. The Eunuch was baptized in a desert in water. Cornelius who prayed down an angel was instructed to hear Peter's words and was baptized afterwards in the name of the Lord Jesus. The baptism can take place in any body of water (river, creek, pond, pool, etc) as long as it's deep enough to immerse the candidate. Baptize in Greek language means to submerge not to sprinkle. It can be done by any believer who was baptized by faith in the only all power filled commanded name that saves (Acts 4:12, Colossians 3:17, and Matthew 28:18). And it takes less than a minute. It's benefits last a lifetime. Finally, what are you waiting for? Arise, repent and be baptized washing away your sins in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38, Acts 10:36-48, and Acts 22:16).
