The Squirrel story/poem By: Amanda Diamond Look at the squirrel He’s so fuzzy and cute Big eyes, fluffy tail And can climb to boot His ways are so funny He’s tiny and sweet And soon he’ll find a nut So his family can eat He has a little wife, Who goes by Emma Jane And they live in the oak tree On Apple Pie lane The squirrels have 3 kids Tommy, Joan, and Lee And they eat off a mushroom table While drinking iced tea They chatter all day And scamper at night They rub in the roads And give drivers a fright I love the squirrels Because they are so cute Why is my Dad holding that gun? Oh no! Don’t shoot Now the squirrels are dead

And I am so sad And… Oh my God! Look at that kitty!
