The Song Of Torah

CHUMASH STATISTICS “So, now write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the Children of Yisrael” (Devarim 31,19) This verse contains the 613th mitzvah in the Torah, the writing of a Sefer Torah (the song). Rambam (Sefer Torah 7:1) writes, “It is a mitzvah for every Jew to write a Sefer Torah for oneself.”
