THE SECRETS OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE Deuteronomy 11 I.

Personal encounter with God’s faithfulness (vv.2-7) “Remember that it was not your children who saw…but it was with your own eyes that saw all the great things that the Lord has done.” ACTIVITY:

Try to look back and remember what God has done for you – how did you experience God personally?

II. The much-anticipated arrival to the great and glorious destination (vv.10-12) “The land you are taking over is not like Egypt…it is a land the Lord your God cares for… His eyes are continually on it…” III. Application: How to reach success in your life’s journey 1. Observe God’s commands. (v.8) 2. Observe God’s commands faithfully. (v.13a) 3. Love God and serve him with all your heart and soul. (v.13b) 4. Always keep God’s Words in you. (v.18) 5. Meditate on God’s Word. (vv.19-20) IV. Warning “Be careful or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut the heavens …” (vv.16-17). If you turn your back on God, the blessings will cease. V. Promises 1. Deliverance from enemies / Power over enemies. (v.23) 2. Enlarged territory: Promotion, success (v.24) 3. Power over and respect from all people. (v.25) VI.
