THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST Chapter 1 - Part A The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: (Rev 1:1) The disclosure of Jesus Christ… Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Rev 1:3) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Mat 4:4) …is revealed within each of us… And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (Joh 17:3) There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. (Mar 7:15) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luk 17:21) …and is the essence of His gospel. The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. (Mar 1:1-2) But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (Gal 1:11-12) A revelation given Him by His Father. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (Joh 14:10) He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. (Joh 14:24) Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. (Joh 7:16) For all, including Christ’s own revelation is of the Father and through Christ. For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. (Joh 16:27)

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; (Rev 3:14) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (1Co 8:6) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (Joh 1:3) All of which has been given to His Son... For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. (Joh 3:34-35) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Mat 28:18) … ‘to show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass’. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. (Jam 4:14) Sent unto you…unto me….those who ‘count themselves not to have apprehended’ but ‘press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus’. It is for all who ‘labour, striving according to His working’. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Phi 3:12-14) Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. (Col 1:29) Put into signs and symbols, ‘that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind’. And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. (Joh 9:39) And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their

eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. (Mat 13:10-17) For John, for us, for one reason and one reason only. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (1Co 10:11) Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. (1Pe 1:11-12) And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. (Heb 11:39-40) For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. (Rom 11:30-32) Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. (Rev 1:2) Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: (1Co 1:6) As the next verse of this commentrary (Rev 1:3) will demonstrate, this book is to be confirmed and kept in each of US.... Like John, all of God’s faithful elect also ‘bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all the things that he saw’. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. (Rev 17:14) And we are to bare record right now, right here, wherever Christ has us at this particular point in our walk. Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. (1Co 7:20-21) Walking ‘according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith’; prophesying ‘according to the proportion of faith’ that we have been given.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. (Rom 12:3) Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; (Rom 12:6) Knowing that each time we are ‘made free’, to ‘use it rather’, to separate ourselves from the carnality within us and move closer to the image of Christ. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1Co 2:14) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (Rom 8:5-7) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Gal 5:1) We ‘stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free’ each time we put on the mind of Christ and ‘bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all the things that we see’… For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1Co 2:16) Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; (Phi 1:27) Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. (1Co 1:10) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: (Phi 2:5) Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. (1Pe 4:12) As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: (Col 2:6) He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (1Jo 2:6) And we are accountable only for the measure or proportion of Christ’s faith that we have been given.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (Eph 4:13) Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: (Rom 3:22) Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (Gal 2:16) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. (Gal 3:22) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Eph 2:8) And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. (Luk 17:5) For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mat 25:14-30) But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. (Luk 12:48)

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Rev 1:3) God’s word must be read, heard, and kept within each of us. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Mat 4:4) And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Mat 19:17) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Mat 28:20) Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. (Joh 8:51) If ye love me, keep my commandments. (Joh 14:15) He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (Joh 14:21) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (Joh 15:10) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. (1Jo 2:3-5) And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (1Jo 3:22) And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: (Rev 2:26) All of it…all scripture… Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. (2Pe 1:20) The sum of your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting. (Psa 119:160) (NASB) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2Ti 3:15-16) Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. (Mat 13:52) Right now…for the time, for each of us, is at hand. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. (Jam 4:14)

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; (Rev 1:4) Seven denotes ‘completeness’. And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: (Lev 23:15) And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (Gen 2:2) And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (Gen 2:3) Asia symbolizes that which is ‘turned away’ from Christ. So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth. (Act 19:27) And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him, Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place. (Act 21:27-28) This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. (2Ti 1:15) ‘John to the seven churches which are in Asia’ is us preparing to deal with all that is within us that is ‘turned away’ from Christ…all that we must yet come out of. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Rev 18:4) Ours is a message of grace and peace. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Eph 2:8) But when we are judged, we are chastened [Gk. Paideuo] of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. (1Co 11:32) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching [Gk. Paideuo] us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (Tit 2:11-12) Grace…judgment that begins only after we have died spiritually.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Heb 9:27) …Judgment that brings about our inheritance, the kingdom of God within us. And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. (Act 20:32) For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Rom 14:17) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luk 17:21) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Mat 4:17) It is a message from Christ. John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; (Rev 1:4) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Rev 1:8) Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. (Rev 1:11) And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: (Rev 1:17) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (Rev 1:18) Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; (Rev 1:19) And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; (Rev 2:8) And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. (Rev 4:8) Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. (Rev 11:17) And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. (Rev 16:5) And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (Rev 21:6)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (Rev 22:13) And from the complete spirit of God… And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. (Rev 3:1) And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. (Rev 4:5) And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. (Rev 5:6) …The very same spirit that we now have in earnest form. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (Joh 16:15) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Col 2:9) For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. (Joh 3:34) Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. (2Co 1:22) Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. (2Co 5:5) In earnest form until the ‘redemption of the purchased possession’…when we will be ‘like Him’. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Rom 8:29) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. (Eph 1:14) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1Jo 3:2) It is a message that originates from both Christ and His Father, one that can only be delivered via God and Christ within us. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (Joh 14:23) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Phi 4:13) Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. (Joh 5:19)

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (Joh 5:30) Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. (Joh 7:16) He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. (Joh 14:24) And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (Rev 1:5) Jesus Christ, the faithful witness [Gk. Martus] within us, making us that same faithful witness… I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr [Gk. Martus], who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. (Rev 2:13) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness [Gk. Martus], the beginning of the creation of God; (Rev 3:14) And I will give power unto my two witnesses [Gk. Martus], and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. (Rev 11:3) Christ, the first begotten of the dead within us, making us the same first begotten of the dead… But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. (1Co 15:20) And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (Rev 11:7-8) And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. (Rev 11:11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (Rom 8:11) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. (Rom 6:13) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. (Jam 1:18) These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. (Rev 14:4)

Christ, the Prince of the kings of the earth within us, making us that same Prince of the kings of the earth… The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. (Isa 1:1-2) Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word, O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD. (Jer 22:1, 29) The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. (Act 4:26) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Mat 28:18) In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. (Luk 10:21-22) And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. (Rev 12:5) And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. (Rev 21:24) And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (Rev 11:15) Christ who has ‘loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood’. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (Joh 14:21) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8) It is Him now living His life in us, that causes us to walk in love, to be obedient in all things, even unto death… As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue [Gk. Meno] ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide [Gk. Meno] in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide [Gk. Meno] in his love. (Joh 15:9-10) And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. (Eph 5:2)

Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: (Col 1:24) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. (2Co 4:10-11) I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. (1Co 15:31) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (Rom 6:6) From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. (Gal 6:17) That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (Phi 3:10) It is His obedience in us, through us, that equates with His dying within us, through us. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. (2Co 4:11) A life of death…the life by which we are saved. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Rom 5:9) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Rom 5:10)
