The Only Sign

Jesu Claimed s By: Qazi Ghulam Mustafa

The Only Sign Jesus Claimed Over a thousand million Christians of the World believe that Jesus Christ (AS) is their ‘Lord’ and ‘Savior’ because he is “Son of God” and he died on the cross to take the sins of humanity. What an easy salvation they have!!! Someone else is paying on your account. Let us analyze whether they are correct in what they are boasting about since 2000 years. Christianity is based on a single concept as Paul (the self appointed disciple of Jesus) says:

“And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:17), which means that Jesus had to die on the cross and raised again to take the sins of humanity. We will now try to analyze that what Jesus himself said about his death and resurrection. Jews always used to pose riddles to Jesus for checking whether he is their true Messiah, this time they came and asked

“Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto

them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:38-40).

Now despite of all his miracles such as giving life to the dead by God’s permission and healing those born, blind and lepers by God’s permission, he said he is prepared to give only one sign which is the sign of Jonah, I ask now that what was the sign of Jonah? and to see that we have to go to Book of Jonah, which includes only four short chapters. The book says that God ordered Jonah to go to city of Neneveh and preach people but he thought that these people are not fit for the message so he presumptuously went to Joppa and took a boat. At sea there was a storm and according to the superstitions of that time if anyone is running away from his Master’s command the storm seek for his blood so people started asking that who could be the guilty man. Jonah then realizes that God ordered him to go to Nineveh and he went to Joppa so actually he is running away from Master’s command and after realizing that he made a manly come back and declared that he is the guilty man and it is expedient for others to throw him over boat. But the people in boat said that we have a system of our own of throwing lots to know right from the wrong, so they threw lot and it identified Jonnah as the guilty man and they threw him over board. Now I ask again, when they threw him over boat was he dead or was he alive?? But before you think for an answer I want to help you. As Jonnah was volunteering for throwing him in the sea so definitely the people wouldn’t have strangled him before throwing or break his arms and legs, they just had to put him in the water. So again when they threw Jonaah was he dead or alive… Yes right he was alive, and when a fish comes and gobbles him and from the fish’s belly he prays to

God, dead or alive.. Yes you are right, he was alive. When the fish vomits him on the sea shore, was he dead or alive…

Alive, yes.

So it’s a miracle of a

miracle of a miracle, look the man is surviving again and again. This was the miracle Jesus claimed that as Jonnah was,

son of man be.

so shall the

I have been asking Christians that how was Jesus in the

tomb, dead or alive and whole Christianity answers that he was

dead.

Jesus had to die to take the sins of mankind. But in this case Jesus is fulfilling the prophecy in reverse. Jonnah was alive for three days and three nights and Jesus was dead for three days and three nights. Jesus said he will be like Jonnah but the Christian world says he is unlike Jonnah and believe me there is no dictionary in the world which says

‘like’ and ‘unlike’ are

synonyms. But the Christians take another chance and say

Jesus was

emphasizing the time factor, Jesus says ‘For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth’. Jesus is using

THREE for four times. I say

there is nothing miraculous about time factor, it makes no difference whether the person is in the tomb or in the fish’s belly for three days or three months or three hours, the miracle is that when a person is suppose to die but he doesn’t die. Still if they say we will analyze that as well. Now I ask the Christians when was Jesus hanged and they answer

‘GOOD FRIDAY’

and what time? They say

afternoon. So the Jews hanged him in afternoon and you know they were in hurry to get him down the cross because of the Sabbath as the Sabbath starts from the sunset and the jews had the law that nobody should be hanged on the cross on the Sabbath day, so quickly quickly they took him down, gave him burial bath and put him in the sepulcher. By the time he was put in the sepulcher it was already evening. Now count with me.. Friday NIGHT he was supposed to be in the grave, Saturday DAY he was supposed to be in the grave, Saturday NIGHT he was supposed to be in the grave and Sunday morning when Marry Magdalene comes to the tomb she found the tomb empty and started crying (John: chapter 20).

Jesus in the prophecy claimed three days and three nights but we can see he was in the tomb for no more than

two nights and a day. Jesus

failed again. He puts all his eggs in one basket and he failed twice. The scriptures are insulting the mightiest messenger of God. But I say he was not failed because he was not to be crucified and he never claimed to be crucified as the Holy Quran says:

“They killed him not, nor crucified, but it appeared so to them. Indeed those who disagree concerning it are in doubt about it. They have no (true) knowledge about it except that they follow conjecture. Surely, they did not kill him. But Allah did take him up unto Himself. Allah is ever Mighty, Wise.” (An-Nisaa’: 157-158)
