Don’t set anything on the bible…. When Bibles were translated and transcribed during the early 300 AD -1500AD the ink would not dry completely for several days. If something were placed on a newly transcribed set of pages the ink would adhere to the other pages and be transferred to the other page and would ruin the work. After the ink would dry it was in some cases several years it would still imprint whatever was set on it…..Does this still apply today.
