The Last Supper "This do in Remembrance of Me" By D.J. Love, Minister, TSN, SBC Revised 10-1-2004 Refined 3-26-2007

Messiah Y'shua never wanted us to memorialize the day of His birth or the day of His crucifixion. Messiah Y'Shua, "YHVH's Spokesman", was not created by YHVH to be Worshiped. Messiah Y'Shua, "The Sacrificial Lamb of YHVH," had at least three major purposes for existence that satisfied YHVH's "Plan of Salvation," Prophecy, Covenants, and "The Promise" made to Abraham; and none were to be worshiped as a baby or as a reborn pagan god after the pagan Christ-mass and Easter traditions. To worship Messiah Y'Shua is to place him higher than or equal to YHVH. We are not to worship Y'Shua or Jesus, but the one true Self-existent YHVH. Y'Shua is not YHVH, but a proxy for YHVH (an ambassador), who has been given his dominion and power from YHVH. Without or apart from YHVH, Y'Shua is nothing. Y'Shua, himself, stated that our first and greatest commandment was to worship YHVH (through obedient love) with all of our heart, soul, strength, and all of our mind; and we now perform this worship of YHVH through following the "Selfless" example of Y'Shua, because Messiah Y'Shua is not only our "Role Model," but our "High Priest" (See Nazarite Priest). Y'Shua is, also, The "Appointed Firstborn" of "The Children of YHVH" (The First of all The Firstfruits), and if we worship YHVH as Y'Shua worshipped Him, in "Spirit and Truth," then we shall become "Like Him" (made in The Image of YHVH with the dominion and power of YHVH; just like our elder brother Messiah Y'Shua). So what are three good reasons for Y'Shua birth, life, and ministry? (1) To become the perfect human example of "Self-sacrifice" for sin, because as a 100 percent human he established that an ordinary man that loves YHVH more than "Self" can do the same thing. (2) To become our "High Priest," as a Nazarite Priest (Messiah was not of the seed of Aaron or a Levite), which gave him the legal authority to make "Atonement for Sin," and fulfill other prophecies.

(3) To establish that Torah (the Law) was never intented as a law in the first place, but was always intended as a "Marriage Covenant" (of Love and Respect) betweed YHVH and His "Chosen" bride; Of which, the individual commandments, ordinances, etc. . . are the "Wedding Vows".

Note: This is an awesome responsibility, and this power and dominion will not be given to anyone who does not have the exact same "Holy Pneuma" as YHVH.

Messiah Y'Shua never expected mankind to worship him, and he only made one request as a memorial (Last Supper), and that request was to be remembered (after his final act and ultimate sacrifice of "Self"), as a Spiritual example of Love Perfected. For greater love (perfected love) has no one than this, that a man lay down his life (a "SELF" sacrifice) for his friends. This memorial is to be observed only by the drinking of red wine (symbolic of His blood that was shed for our sins), and eating of broken leavened bread (that was symbolic of his soon to be broken, but not yet perfected bruised body, which was ultimately offered up in humility as an "Selfless" example of Love perfected for His friends).

Note: This Memorial to Messiah Y'Shua using leavened bread is not part of "The Feast of Unleavened Bread" nor is it to replace "The Feast of Unleavened Bread." It is 'In Addition to' "Passover" and "The Feast of Unleavened Bread," and it precedes them. No unleavened bread is to be used prior to the end of Passover and the beginning of Unleavened Bread. Scripture is explicit that it is at the beginning of the first day of "U.B." that leavening is removed from our personal areas of dominion, and not before.

The drinking of wine and the eating of unleavened (food without fermentation) bread is only symbolic. Those who eat and drink of it only after the physical manner of eating and drinking, do so unworthily. But those who recognize

the spiritual implications and apply them to their lives, do so worthily, because they do hunger and thirst for righteousness sake. The primary lessons of Messiah's Death and Resurrection are that "Spiritual (Eternal) Life comes from death to "SELF" by humbly offering yourself as a living sacrifice for others, as a servant of YHVH through Obedience to His Commandments of Love, and in accordance to the example of Messiah's Ministry. In other words, we literally follow in the footsteps of Y'Shua, who freely gave himSELF for our Spiritual understanding, by patterning our lives after his life.

Note: Unleavened (without sin) refers to any food that has not begun the process of fermentation, and is not limited to bread or wine. Grape Juice is not fermented, but wine is. Grape juice is not symbolically appropriate, but by putting just one drop of wine in a cup of grape juice, we transform the grape juice to fermented (leavened) grape juice (meaning not pure grape juice).

Matthew 22:37-38 37 Y'Shua said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your G-d with all your heart (Emotional Caring), and with all your soul (life), and with all your mind (Pneuma).' 38 This is the first and great commandment.

Mark 12:30 30 you shall love the LORD your G-d with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the primary commandment.

John 15:12-14 12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.

Matthew 26:26-29 26 As they were eating, Y'Shua took (leavened) bread (Artos), gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave (ALL) to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my (symbolic) body." 27 He took the cup (of fermented grape juice), gave thanks, and gave (ALL) to them, saying, "Drink all of it, 28 for this is my (symbolic) blood of the new covenant (not new religion, but RENEWED marriage vow), which is poured out for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I tell you (Nazarite Vow) that "I

will not drink of this fruit of the vine from this time forth, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom." Note: Messiah Y'Shua is the "Vine", and "True Believers" are the "Fruit Bearing Branches" of the vine. Although, in a sense, we are also the fruit of the vine (with Messiah we are "The First Fruits" with Messiah).

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 23 For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that master Y'Shua on the night in which he was betrayed took bread (G740, "artos" or leavened bread). 24 When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "Take, eat. This (artos) is my body, which is [to be] broken for you. Do this in memory of me." 25 In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is [to be] the RENEWED covenant (marriage vow to YHVH) in my blood (according to my sacrificial example). Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me."

26 For as often as you eat this (leavened) bread, and drink this cup, you proclaim the master's death until he returns.

Note: If you are beginning to equate The Messiah saying that his body is leavened bread (artos), as meaning that he was not yet perfectly sinless at the time of The Last Supper, then you would be correct according to "The Letter of The Law". Messiah was not perfectly sinless until he gave himSELF on the torture stake for our example of how to become perfected (through SELF-lessness). It seems that Christianity has taught us that in order to be sinless or perfect, we must always have been sinless (since birth), but this is a bold faced lie. YHVH does not seek sinless (perfect from birth) people; YHVH seeks sinners, who reject sin (repent of "Self"), and thus seek to become sinless by Spiritually (mentally) dying to "SELF." Therefore, in order to be a perfect example of rejecting sin or temptation, The Messiah must have, also, had to reject sin (Self), and he did so when Satan (human nature) tempted him (YHVH cannot be tempted). Additionally, no one took Messiah's life, because he freely gave his life, as an anthropomorphism (physical to Spiritual parallel) or example of how to retain favor (Grace) in YHVH's eyes.

Mark 1:9-13 And it came to pass in those days, that Y'Shua came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was Baptized (Messiah chose to reject self or sin) by John (The Baptiser, who ONLY baptised "Unto Repentance.") in the Jordan. 10 And straightway (after repenting of "Self" and) coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens (clouds) opened (parted), and the Spirit (Righteousness Seeking Nature of THE FATHER) like (similar to) a dove descending upon him (filled him with The Eternal Father's Righteousness Seeking Nature or Spirit): 11 And there came a voice from heaven, [saying], Thou art my beloved Son (YHVH knew "The Intent" of Messiah's heart), in whom I am well pleased (so far so good, but Messiah still had to endure temptation and suffering or "Self Denial"). 12 And immediately the Spirit (Messiah new mentality) driveth (caused)

him (to go) into the wilderness. 13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan (human nature & selfish thoughts); and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

Hebrews 2:10 For it became him (Messiah), for whom [are] all things (created by YHVH), and by (or on behalf of) whom [are] all things (created by YHVH), in bringing many (future) sons unto glory (in the first resurrection), to make the captain of their salvation (Messiah) perfect through sufferings.

Note: SO there you have it. Messiah was (eventually) perfected by suffering, and NOT created perfect, as a baby. Therefore, the need and reason for the usage of leavened bread (Artos) for his body, because Messiah did not achieve absolute perfection until he gave him-SELF (suffered death to "SELF") on the stake (cross). as a "PERFECT" example of Self-sacrifice. Of course, we don't have to die on a stake, but we do have to reject sin (repent of "Self"), and seek perfection; YHVH knows "The Intent of our Hearts."

Note: The Jews did not take messiah's life, anymore than the Romans. Nobody can take that which is freely given. Ever since the beginning of creation, Messiah's self-sacrifice was always the pivotal part of YHVH's "Plan Of Salvation."

Note: It is currently claimed that there is discovered evidence that Messiah might not have physically died on the cross (stake). Our stand is: Regardless of whether he actually died after being crucified or not is irrelevant. His humble act of Selfsacrifice (sacrificial love) once and for all defined what it truly means to become a "Living Sacrifice" willing to Die to Self. For it is not perfection without blemish that YHVH seeks, but

sinners that are desirous of dying to Self (repentance) in favor of seeking the righteousness of YHVH that is pleasing.

Galatians 1:4 Who gave himSELF for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of (our) G-d and our FATHER:

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Messiah: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Messiah (Spiritually) liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the (same) faith (as) of the Son of G-d, who loved me, and gave himSELF for me.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Messiah also loved the assemblies, and gave himSELF for them;

Titus 2:14 Who gave himSELF for us, that he might (by his example) redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a

peculiar people, zealous of good works.

John 13:1-18 Now before the feast of the Passover, Y'Shua knowing that his time had come that he would (Spiritually) depart out of this world to his Father, having loved his own, who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 After supper (A Chagigah and not a Passover Meal), the devil (Human Nature) having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him, 3 Y'Shua, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came forth from YHVH, and was going to YHVH, 4 arose from supper (A Chagigah and not a Passover Meal), and laid aside his outer garments. He took a towel, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the

disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him, "Master, do you wash my feet?" 7 Y'Shua answered him, "You don't know what I am doing now, but you will understand later." 8 Peter said to him, "You will never wash my feet!" Y'Shua answered him, "If I don't wash you, you have no part with me." 9 Simon Peter said to him, "Master, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!" 10 Y'Shua said to him, "Someone who has bathed only needs to have their feet washed, but is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you (meaning of ALL those present)." 11 For he knew him who would betray him, therefore he said, "You are not all clean." 12 So when he had washed their feet, put his outer garment back on, and sat down again, he said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call me, 'Teacher' and a 'Master.' You say so correctly, for so I am. 14 If I then, as a Master and a Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

*15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his master, and neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. 18 I speak not of you all. I know whom I have chosen. But that the scripture may be fulfilled, 'He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.'
