Saves “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation (Isaiah 12:2). See also Psalms 106:21; 1 Timothy 4:10; Jude 25. The Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—has much to say about our Savior. There are only three chapters in God’s Word that have not been touched by man’s sin (Genesis 1-2; Revelation 21). Each book shouts a message about Him. He is coming. He is here. He is coming again. The Savior is coming The Savior is Here The Savior is coming again
Old Testament New Testament – Gospels New Testament – Acts, Epistles, Revelation
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation” (Isaiah 12:2-3). See Exodus 15:2-3; Psalms 118:14,21). God’s answer to man’s sin was to provide a Savior. Not just anyone would do for the job. He robed Himself in flesh, coming to earth to save us (John 1:1; 14). “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
God purchased the Church with His own blood (Acts 20:28). Our responsibility is to respond and obey His Word. “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call” (Acts 2:37-39).
