1. The Product • The product is mainly concerned for;  Performance  Aesthetics  Quality  Reliability  Quantity  Selling price or production costs  Delivery dates or times

2. The plant • While considering the plant in production operation management the following concerns are there.  Future possible demands  Design & layout of buildings & offices  Performance & reliability of equipment  Maintenance of performance  Safety of installation & operation  Social responsibility

3. The processes • In deciding upon a process it is necessary to examine such factors as;  Available capacity  Available skills  Type of production/operation  Lay out of plant & equipment  Safety  Maintenance requirements  Costs to be achieved.

4. The programmes • In it transfer timetables generate timetables are concerned for;  Purchasing  Transforming  Maintenance  Cash  Storage  Transport

5. The people • The production or operations manager should involved in discussions with peoples for;  Wages/Salaries  Safety  Conditions of work  Motivation  Trade unions  Education & training
