Hypothesis & Bivariate Rationale

The race of the respondent affects the political views of the respondent. As the independent variable race changes the dependent variable political views changes also. A larger percentage of respondents who were white had an overall higher political viewpoint than respondents who were black.

Hypothesis & Rationale Multivariate

The relationship between the independent and dependent variable will not change, the race will still affect the political viewpoint of the respondent on a multivariate level. According to the data whites have a larger interest in politics so therefore whites will still have a larger view point on politics than blacks.
