The Ears/ flaps of the tipi was used to let smoke out when they had a fire inside the tent
These are a few pieces of wood that keep the tipi together and up it can be used also as a sled which is attached to a horse it wasn’t all made out of wood because there wasn’t enough wood in the plains
This part of the tipi was the most important because it was used to keep the tipi together these were called wooden lacing pins
The Entrance/ doorway way used to get in and out of the tipi and sometimes if it was hot they would pull it up to let cold air in and it was made out of buffalo skin
Ross Stevenson.
The tipi was a conical shape this was good because when it was windy the wind went round it not straight into it was made out of buffalo skin
This part of the tent could be rolled up also to let cold air in when it was hot
