The Chiro Creed I am a Filipino Christian Baptized to God’s nobility Confirmed to his service May joy is the Christ the Lord My courage, fidelity to his will May radiance, witness to his love. In these I will grow with the Help of the blessed Virgin By finding Christ in my fellowmen in prayer, confession and the eucharist Mission and Vision We the Chiro youth movement is a living community of faithful young Christian who being the youth closer to Christ through the intersection of Mary. Is the part of the church we believe that we are instrument of the organization and dynamic participant of the growth. As part of the community we believe that we are to active, committed and responsible leader who will respond to the need of the youth We believe that we are to live as servants of the Christ inspired by the word of God, nourished by the sacraments and prayer. By these we shall be know as a catholic parochial youth movement in the Philippines. We want t o submit our lives to Christ. We want to search for really happiness, self –affirmation and friendship. Motivate by example of their leaders and members, they will practice these Christian virtues in their weekly meetings, in their songs and games.

Prayer The road of the life is rough and rugged, And I am too weak, to weary to go on, Assist me. Lord and see me trough. The road is dark and dangerous, my strength and courage flag. My burdened is lifted; the waiting is filed, with anticipation and excitement. Guide me Lord in the road of life, and lead me to heaven above. Travel with me , Lord that I may stray form the path that lead me back to you Walk with me, Lord that I may find the way to you. Amen. The name of chiro For all purpose, the local movement will be known as the “Chiro Youth Movement”. No other way of writing the ‘Chiro’ will be recognizing (e.g. the translation ‘KIRO’ or the original Greek term ‘ChiRho’). Through the history of chiro Philippines, the four widely chiro symbols ares as follows: The Chi and the Rho (combined X and P) The chi sign what a ‘bar’ The ‘Chiro flame’ which represents the symbols of all division (the Chiro logo which appears on the yellow scraf)

It is being suggested that the last symbol, designed as a bamboo bent to form the Chiro flame, be make the Chiro Philippine log o the following reasons: It stands for the familial method in the chiro, emphasizing the unit of all Chiro members as all the division symbols are integrated int o one group symbol. The choice of the bamboo was based on the material symbolizing the Filipino traits iof humility and resilience. Also, if we want the Chiro symbol to exude a Filipino identity, the bamboo definitely radiates the indigenous Filipino appeal. The said chiro Philippines symbol should be carried in all banners, uniforms, and other paraphernalia/ materials to be used in the group , district and national levels. Chiro Methods In the chiro we want our children and youngsters to discover a new way of living together. This we try to achieve through specific method. Through all activities: playing sports music and dance, campaigns and projects, tanning visible. This is the enormous challenge we face. We don’t just want to play. We want to do chiro thought playing. There are four main ways or pedagogical methods that can help us to realize our task and make our meeting real chiro. These methods should color all our activities, all we do with the children and youngsters and the way we do all these. You should say: these four ways help you to recognize the chiro Family or Community Method All we do is geared towards building a good community among people Activity or Do Methods Chiro is realized through activities, in an active manner. Everyone’s contribution is important. Together, we are responsible Experience-based Method With our activities we want meet the needs of the youngsters, base ourselves on their daily experiences. But all the same time, we want to give them the Chiro the experience that new way of living is possible.

Intuitive method We don’t want to instruct. We don’t want to preach theories. The real Chiro message, the evangelical values are transmitted in an intuitive way. The Chiro formation Assembling all Division with a Formation From the right side of the leader’s ranks, the clockwise arrangement of members divisions should be form Sun to Crown to Christi and to Aspirants. In Line formation From the left to right side of the leader’s ranks or form front to back, arrangement should be form Sun to Crown to Christi and to Aspirants. Introduction We are a parish based youth movement since 1952.Our aim is to bring young people closer to Christ through various creative and fun filled activities.This YAHOOGROUP is for Chiro leaders and advisers who are handling groups.
