7. Stitch to join the two belt pieces together as shown.

Trim seam to 1/4 inch and press. Your fabric will be approx 86 inches long. Trim belt fabric to a length you feel is appropriate for your waist. You should trim at least 10 inches off. I trimmed mine to 70 inches. **Set this access aside, you will use this for the neck later.

8. Turn belt fabric RST (right sides together) Start at folded edge and stitch rounded to the raw edge. Then stitch along raw edge with 1/4 inch seam allowance. Leave an opening approx 3 inches wide on long side for turning. Trim rounded ends before turning.

9. After turning the belt – press flat. Stitch along edges of belt with 1/8 seam allowance. Make sure to catch opening that you used for turning. This will close that opening.

10. You are now ready to attach the belt to the bibs. Find the center of the belt and stitch at center of bib belt line.

Now thread thru belt loops and stitch on each end too.

Now your belt and ruffle are done and should look like this.

11. Now for the neck strap. Take the scrap from belt and trim to approx 10 inches. This will give you a piece that is approx 3in x 10in. Fold and a 1/4 inch of the short ends as shown.

12. Now measure your denim straps to approx 10 inches in length as shown – then trim excess.

You should have two denim straps and one section of fabric that look like this
