Testlink-bugzilla integration Testlink is an open source web based TEST MANAGEMENT and test EXECUTION system. It is currently being widely accepted across Yahoo. Hence it seems imperative that we have much more tighter integration between Yahoo’s Bug tracking system and testlink. While working with a QA team for about a year now, I have closely observed testers, QA lead, manager, interaction between QA/dev teams and various QA processes. I can list down my observations as follows: • • • • • •

Testers spend as much time testing as in filing bugs Leads often need to contact tester for getting the status of tasks assigned and pass/fail count Manager need to count on Leads/testers for getting the overall status of the project and various data. Dev team often need to talk to QA people to understand the bus files and corresponding Testcase. Testers are often told that there test case is wrong. A lot of time is “wasted” in generating various types of reports. There is absolutely no traceability betweens bugs files and testcases.
