Course Highlights Branding Yourself If you're not appearing, y o u ' r e disappearing. Absolutely true. No matter what your "thing" is engineer, marketing exec, or French Literature professor, whatever! standing on the merits of your great work alone is not (usually) enough. People have got to know about you and your great work. They have got to meet you, see you. If you want people to talk about the wonderful things you do, then you must give them the opportunity to experience you. the greatest brand in the world is MEME.
Change Management At a time when it's tougher than ever to be a Tiger, it's even more crucial to know what it takes. Successful adaptation to change is as crucial within an organization as it is in the natural world. Organizations and the individuals in them inevitably encounter changing conditions that they are powerless to control. The more effectively you deal with change, the more likely you are to thrive. The module describes some principles, rules and their application for effective management of change.
Negotiation Skills Effective negotiation helps you to resolve situations where what you want conflicts with what someone else wants. The module is aiming in delivering negotiation skills for selling, purchasing, staff (e.g. contracts), borrowing (e.g. loans) and transactions, along with anything else that you feel are applicable for your business.
Global Strategic Management The globalization of business has become so rapid that a new field called "Global Strategic Management" has now emerged. It is a blend of strategic management and international business that develops worldwide strategies for global corporations. This module focuses on strategic and managerial approach to global issues, blending theory and practical, empirical examples to great effect.
Corporate Communication Trying to get a message across to every employee in an organization is a lot like trying to control kids in a school bus: some will listen; some will hear but misunderstand the message; and some will ignore the message altogether and later complain, "But nobody told me."
Mismanagement: Beg for Bad News! It isn't enough to just accept hearing bad news when it comes, even when you really do act upon it. Leaders must go out of their way to encourage people to tell them what is really going on.
36 strategies corporate War:
of winning
Strategy is the organized deployment of resources to achieve specific objectives, something that business and warfare have in common. We realized that there was a vast knowledge base stretching back thousands of years that they had barely examined. We turned to military strategy for guidance. And it really works wonders in business!
Admission Procedure: We look for a large variety of academic, cultural and professional backgrounds when selecting our students. The executive PGDBM program provides a high- performance environment for managers from around the world. We welcome applications from all areas of industry. The programme is intended for executives having substantial work experience. The pre- requisites are: l l l l
Graduate in any discipline. Two years full time work experience. Achievements (Academic and career related) Personal Interview
The admission process is highly personalized as the committee seeks to learn about each candidate's goals and potential for success in management.
