Syllogisms For A New W orld Part I: The Logic Of Critical Thinking
1. Individuals were created free. Individuals are only constrained by his freedom of Choice. Individuals have no Choice but to Choose. 2. Some Choices made by Individuals are made through the Faculty of their Reasoning. Reasoning is the exercise of an Individual’s Critical Thinking. Therefor, some Choices made by Individuals are an exercise of Critical Thinking. 3. Some Choices made by Individuals are made through the Faculty of their Emotions. Emotions are not the exercise of Individual’s Critical Thinking. Therefor, some Choices made by Individuals are not an exercise of Critical Thinking. 4. Critical Thinking is the exercise of determining the Validity of an Argument. Validity signifies the determination of the Truth or Fallacy of an Argument. Therefor, Critical Thinking determines the Truth of Fallacy of an Argument. 5. Emotions are the reactions without thought of an Individual to Arguments Reactions without thought do not determine the Truth or Fallacy of an Argument Therefor, Emotions do not determine the Truth or Fallacy of an Argument Note: A Truth is Absolutely True A Falsehood is Absolutely False All other Arguments are simply Beliefs Justified or Unjustified to varying degrees of Possibility. Critical Thinking leads the Individual to Knowing the Truth. Emotions lead the Individual to Justify Beliefs. Part II: Critical Thinking As A Solution To Violence 1. Violence is a means to resolve Conflicts. Violence is the physical manifestation of the Negative Emotions. Negative Emotions are therefor used to resolve Conflicts. Note: Conflicts resolved by Negative Emotions doubles the Negative Emotions on both sides of the Conflict. By reducing Emotional reactions to Conflicts, the doubling of Negative Emotions on both sides of the Conflict is also reduced. 2. A W orld ruled by Emotions marginalizes Truth. Truth marginalized leads to Human Understanding & Interaction becoming Belief. A W orld ruled by Emotions leads to Human Understanding & Interaction becoming Belief. 3. Belief that is accepted as Truth with no Justification is called Blind Faith.
A W orld ruled by Emotions leads to Human Understanding & Interaction ruled by some Beliefs that are accepted as Truth with no Justification. Therefor, a W orld ruled by Emotions is a W orld sometimes ruled by Blind Faith. 4. All Political Systems based on Blind Faith lead to Conflict. Violence is a means to resolve Conflict. Therefor, all Political Systems based on Blind Faith lead to Violence. 5. Critical Thinking leads to the determination of Truth. The determination of Truth resolves Conflict without calling on Violence. Therefor, Critical Thinking resolves Conflict without calling on Violence. 6. Blind Faith denies Truth.
