Classroom Rules & Expectations 1. Please sit in your assigned seat when the bell rings. 2. Please sharpen your pencil before the bell rings and ask for permission to sharpen your pencil during any lecture. 3. Please have all of your math materials on your desk when the bell rings. 4. You are expected to start the bellringer as soon as you enter the classroom. The bellringer will be counted as participation on a daily basis. 5. Please raise your hand if you have a question. You will get my complete attention if your hand is raised. 6. Cheating of any kind will NOT be tolerated! First Offense: counselor referral, phone call home to parents/guardian Second Offense: grade of zero will be given, counselor referral, and phone call home 7. NO BATHROOM PASSES WILL BE ISSUED.

All homework assignments can be completed in pencil or pen (blue or black ink) All homework assignments must be completed using notebook paper A 3 ring binder with a folder for handouts A graphing calculator (TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus) Plane Geometry Textbook Lincoln-Way East Handbook (Academic Planner)

Attendance 1. The number of days you miss class = the number of days you are allowed to make up any assignment that is due plus one additional day. (EX: If you are absent one day, then you have that night and the next day to make up that assignment) 2. It is your responsibility to make up any tests, quizzes, or homework assignments that you have missed. (check with a buddy, your calendar sheet, or the teacher) 3. All outstanding work such as; tests and quizzes, are due by the end of each quarter in order to receive credit. Homework 1. Homework will be assigned every day. 2. Your name and the homework assignment must appear at the top of the paper. 3. A list of answers will NOT be accepted due to the fact that there

are answers in the back of the text book. The problem and work must be shown in order to receive FULL CREDIT for the assignments. 4. All students will receive homework points in the following manner: 5 points - All problems completed, all work is shown 3 point - Half of the problems are completed 0 points - No work is shown or list of answers is shown

Grades 1. Your Quarter Grades will be made up of the following percentages: 50% Tests, 30% Quizzes, 20% Homework 2. Your Semester Grade is calculated by taking 40% of each quarter grade (either 1st and 2nd or 3rd and 4th) and 20% of the final exam grade. Semester Grade = .4(Quarter 1 Grade) + .4(Quarter 2 Grade) + .2(Final Exam Grade)
