SWAMIJI ON SRI THAKUR

usands of Vivekanandas may spring forth

ugh one gracious glance of His eyes!

instead of doing that, he has chosen to get

gs done this time through me as his

le instrument.

er did come to this earth such an

erfect man as SRI RAMAKRISHNA.

e utter darkness of the world this great man

e the shining pillar of illumination in

age!

by His light alone will man now cross the

an of Samsara!

l fail to comprehend in any way the

tness of his power

What comparison can there be between Him and ordinary men? He practised in his life all the different ideals religion to show that each of them leads but

the One Truth. Shall you or I ever be able to d all that he has done? None of us has understood him fully. So, I do not venture to speak about Him anywhere and everywhere. He only knows what He himself really was;

his frame was a human one only, but everyth

else about Him was entirely different from ot

I have understood him very little.

He appears to me to have been so great tha whenever I have to speak anything of him, I am afraid lest I ignore or explain away the truth, lest my little power does not suffice,

lest in trying to extol him I present his pictur by painting him according to my lights and belittle him thereby.

Those who have seen Sri Ramakrishna are re blessed. Their family and birth have become

purified by it. All of you will also get his vision The very fact that You have come here, shows that you are very near to him.

Nobody has been able to understand who came on earth as Sri Ramakrishna. Even his own nearest devotees have got no real clue to it. Only some have got a little inkling of it. All will understand it afterwards.

hatever the Vedas, the Vedanta, and all other incarnations have done in the pas Sri Ramakrishna lived to practise in the course of a single life.
