The Vice Chancellor Dr.R.C.Sobti presided over the function and administered the pledge to 500 students and staff of the university. There was a musical concert where patriotic songs were sung by our own team of the Art of Living

It was a very pleasant surprise for the entire AOL family as the Vice Chancello r opened the Gates of the University for any AOL course in the PU campus.

The Pledge was to be administered by His Highness the Governor Haryana but there was a last minute withdrawal so Mr,.Ashok Khanna our Chairman of Himachal,Haryana Chandigarh Apex Body administered the pledge and presided over the function. There was a musical concert where patriotic songs were sung by our own team of the Art of Living. A Candle light peace march was the highlight of the evening.

It was a great moment of pride and patriotism to see 550 people of all walks of life dancing to the tunes of the patriotic songs and then taking the pledge very enthusiastic ally. The evening culminated with a candle peace march and finally putting the candles in a big circle in the Museum complex.
