THE MAKING OF SURE • ‘Society to Uplift Rural Economy’ or SURE is the outcome of the vision of Padam shri Magraj jain ji. • A vision has matured over six decades of work with the poor and the destitute in Barmer district. • SURE took shape in 1990 to fulfill this vision, this dream to uplift the rural economy.

Conted… • To begin with, SURE wanted to work in an area that was remote, inaccessible and devoid of any facilities. • In 1992, with started work in education with the Shiksha karmi programme of the Rajasthan. • In 1992-93, with support Indian Council of Agriculture Research(ICAR), SURE established a Krishi Vigyan Kendra to promote appropriate technologies in agriculture
