Summers' End by The Foo Fighters Transcribed by nomadinmusic.com
Roughly, you can break this song into an intro, verse, chorus and solo. I say roughly because to me, verse and chorus are somewhat the same length, and although both have a very different musical tension, I can see myself interchanging them. For instance, starting with a chorus, and then move on with a verse. To me, the song lets quite some room for your own interpretation.
The Chords These are the chords used in the song, at least to my ears ;-)
D Dsus2 C G D Am Asus4 F E If you don't know how to play 'm there is plenty of reference material out there to help you out. One might think 'great, I'm sure you could have told us'. Right you are. But, the thing here is to learn something.
The intro (and riff 1) Listen to the song. Again. And again. And again. Get familiar with the picking rhythm, as well as the strumming rhythm. Aim for a rhythm that propels to song forward. Not in great speed. Think medium speed. Think a water stream making it's why through the rocks with determination, but without haste.

Riff 2 Only one note changes. This is the riff you play before going into the chorus. It ends not in Dsus2, but with a full open D chord.
