Summary Tourism is an important sector with respect to India , it contributed 6.6 percent to India’s GDPS. In particular, the government was planning about marketing of tourism and building in tourism industry, the overall growth of economy depends on recognizing the contribution of tourism sector to the overall growth of the country. The main factor about the tourism industry is that, there is a seasonal pattern. Domestic tourism has been booming in India and there was a growth of 13.4 percent. Adventure tourism had high levels of engagement for the employees and advantages of being close to nature. The company even though other firms seldom had an such activities of engagement had a lot of employee engagement activities.

Let us take a look at some of the challenges faced Growing technological expertise of local players in the export market.

It is more costly for Treks `n Rapids: Adventure Sports Tourism in India to serve the rural customers than urban customers given the vast distances and lack of infrastructure.

The biggest challenge for Tourism Adventure and other players in the industry is the increasing commoditization of the products in industry.

- As the new product launch cycles are reducing in the industry. It has put additional competitive pressures on players such as Tourism Adventure. Given the large customer base, Tourism Adventure can't respond quickly to the needs of the niche markets that disruptors are focusing on.

Even though at present the Tourism Adventure is still leader in product innovation in the Strategy & Execution segment. It is facing stiff challenges from international and local competitors.

As the babyboomers are retiring and new generation finding hard to replace their purchasing power. This can lead to higher profits in the short run for Tourism Adventure but reducing margins over the long run as young people are less brand loyal and more open to experimentation.

The strengths were

Brands catering to different customers segments within segment - Tourism Adventure extensive product offerings have helped the company to penetrate different customer segments in Strategy & Execution segment. It has also helped the organization to diversify revenue streams.

- Strong brand recognition - Tourism Adventure products have strong brand recognition in the Strategy & Execution industry. This has enabled the company to charge a premium compare to its competitors in industry.

- Track record of innovation - Even though most players in the Strategy & Execution strive to innovate, Tourism Adventure has successful record at consumer driven innovation.

- First mover advantage in the increasingly crowded market place. The new products are rapidly increasing Tourism Adventure market share in the Strategy & Execution industry.

- High margins compare to Strategy & Execution industry's competitors - Even though Tourism Adventure is facing downward pressure on profitability, compare to competitors it is still racking in higher profit margins.

- Diverse Revenue models - Over the years Treks `n Rapids: Adventure Sports Tourism in India has ventured into various businesses outside the Strategy & Execution sector. This has enabled the company do develop a diversified revenue stream beyond Strategy & Execution sector and Strategy & Execution segment.
