Provided food & basic necessities (cooked rice, mineral drinking water, rice, instant noodles, medical ointment – for aged residents & stationaries – writng utensils for the children). The orpahanage had their own activities on that particular day (being Easter), thus the sevadal couldn’t perform any direct seva or entertainment. Entertained 87 children (11 girls & 76 boys, aged: 7 – 30 years old). The institution belonged to government who only provided food, whereas health issues were not much attended. Many patients suffered skin diseases. SSG Jakarta provided aids: rice, instant noodle, cooking oil & garbage can. For the children, the sevadals distributed: biscuits, milk, green beans, cooked rice & crackers. Attended: 125 + 30 inhabitants. Items distributed included: Cooked rice, meals, breads, biscuits, mineral drinking water, green bean pooridge, milk, ointment, clothing, rice, cooking oil, instant noodle, sugar & floor-cleaning liquid.

The free typhoid vaccination vaccination program was a program government highly encourage but has not been able to be implemented due to various reasons. The vaccination was conducted in 2 schools with almost 1000 children from the nearby locality: Primary School Immanuel (with 188 students) & Kampus (670 students). On 14th April, Sai Youth facilitated ‘socialisation’ (an event to explain to the parents on the dangers of typhoid, the importance of vaccination & side effects, etc). The first phase of vaccination on 21st April benefitted 480 children. Medical staffs comprised of: 7 doctors from puskesmas (local government clinic) and 3 doctors from Indian community. 300 donors participated. Attended: 232 inhabitants. Items provided: rice (100 kgs), cooking oil (2 boxes), instant noodle (5 boxes) & salt (1 box). Following food were distributed to inhabitants: fried rice, pickles, green bean pooridge, cakes, bananas & puddings. Contributed totally: 370 kgs rice, 5 boxes of instant noodle, cooking oil, vegetables, instant cereals & medications. Benefitted: 58 families.
