SUDHAGAD is situated nearly 12 kms away from Pali. One of the Ashtavinayak temples is situated in PALI. It is a rarely visited fort in Konkan region. Sudhagad is situated nearly 2500 ft above sea level & one of the most well-preserved forts, with its walls and fortification very much intact.
Historical background:Sudhagad was in existence before Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s era. The fort was also considered for alternative options for Capital of Shivaji Maharaj. The fort is witness to many historic battles between Mughals & Marathas. There are two ways to reach to the top: 1. From Dhondse village which takes us through Mahadarwaja - the main door of the fort & 2. From Pachchapur village.

A vast green plateau on the top. Bhoraidevi Temple. Pantasachiv wada. Mahadarwaja. Shiva mandir, Hanuman mandir. Ruins of the old buildings including Ambarkhana. A beautiful lake. Water tanks. Takmak point like Raigad , Echo point. We get panoramic view of forts like Sarasgad, Korigad, Dhangad, Taila-Baila Fort.
