Submitted to chairman (through proper chanel) Sub: Request to rectify anomaly in the scale of pay of Technical assistant (Rubber Products) I beg to submit the following facts for your kind consideration and favourable orders. I joined in the rubber board on 16-12-1999 as Technical assistant (Rubber Products) in the scale of pay of Rs. 4000-100-6000 and have been holding the post for the last eight and a half years in TC division. The essential qualifications of the Technical assistant (Rubber Products) as per the notification and appointment order (Copy attached) are 1. Diploma in polymer technology 2. Thorough knowledge of rubber processing machinery like mixing mill, Hydraulic press, kneader, Calender, Extruder etc 3. A minimum of 3 years experience in the development and testing of rubber products. 4. Desirable: Experience in chemical analysis of rubber compound, rubber products, rubber compounding ingredients etc Subsequent to this the Board had advertised the post of Technical assistant (Training) in the scale of pay of Rs 4500-125-7000 (Copy attached) and appointed one Technical assistant (Training) in Training department. The essential qualification of the post is one and the same. In this connection it may kindly be noted that the scale of pay of the Technical assistant (Training) is Rs 4500-125-7000 against which the scale of pay of Technical assistant (Rubber Products) is only Rs. 4000-100-6000. The basic qualification of both the post is Diploma in Polymer Technology and the nature of work also is similar. It may also be note that the scale of pay of Technical assistants in Library and the supervisors (Having the basic qualification of Diploma) are Rs 4500-125-7000. Even after the declaration of 6th pay commission report, the grade pay of both the revised pay band against the pay scales also differs ie Rs 2400 only for Rs. 4000-1006000 but Rs 2800 is for Rs 4500-125-7000. Hence it can be seen that, no relief is there in the 6th pay commission report for me. In view of the justification given above, I humbly request your good self to be kind enough to take necessary action for reviewing the scale of pay of the post of Technical assistant (Rubber products) Rs 4000-100-6000 to enhance in parity with the scale of scale of pay of technical assistant (Training) Rs 4500-125-7000.
