St. Valentine’s Ball On February 13, 2009, on the eve of the All Lovers’ Day our Lycee experienced a new event organized by the Senate: the Ball. The Hyde Park is happy to present to your attention a collection of impressions shared by our students. Right: There was a lot of dancing. Anna Atamas (Group 23-E): “I liked the ball very much. In spite of my bad mood in the end of the party, everything was perfect: weird dresses, interesting hair styles, fancy shoes, jewelry, and a lot of positive emotions. I hope we will have something like that on March 8.” Vlad Budchenko (Group 23-E): “1. It was very cool. 2. There were some problems with the sound. 3. Despite that, the music was excellent. 4. The only real problem was the dresscode. I was really tired to dance in the school uniform.” Right: “Lovers’ Mail” worked hard on St. Valentine’s Day Tania Biblis (Group 45-H): “In my opinion organization of the ball was not very good. Pupils had too little time to prepare themselves for the ball. But in general the idea is very good. Teenagers need such kind of events. My friends were happy after the ball; they said it was interesting and funny.”

Yuri Ishchenko (Group 23-E): “I wasn’t there. But I saw the preparations, and I understood my group mates really wanted that ball. I’ve heard it was really good.” Kate Boiko (Group 23E): “Cool! I liked it. For me it was perfect. That dress, those highheeled shoes… Fantastic!!!” Left: Live Musik In Da Haus! Alex Melnychenko (Group 23-E): “It was a very cool ball. The music was good, but the quality of the sound was sometimes bad. The dress code was not comfortable (it was not comfortable to dance to Friski’s music). Although there were too many slow dances, I liked it.” Ulyana Tkachenko (Group 22-E): “I was at the ball that Friday. The idea was very good and interesting! But I don’t like the organization! The girls had to wear dresses. But many girls just don’t have dresses nowadays! The music was good, but it wasn’t comfortable to dance wearing a dress and highheeled shoes. Next year the organizers have to tell about the ball earlier. We need more time to look for proper dresses!” Kate Nedesnova (Group 45-H): “It was a well-organized, original and exciting event. But the program was not very interesting, and sometimes even boring. There was only dancing without any competitions or other kinds of entertainment. But it was just the first time.” Vlad Chykivchuk (Group 22-E): “I had much fun with my friends!” Alexandra Tretevich (Group 23-E): “The ball was very cool!

There was great music, everyone was dressed well. There were many cool boys and I danced with them! :))) It was great and I want this project to be repeated!”
