CHINA
Shanghai Stock Exchange Location : Shanghai, China • Established on 1891 as Shanghai share brokers Association and renamed on 1904 • sixth largest in the world. • It had 860 listed companies(as on 31 dec 2007). •
• The securities listed at the SSE include stocks – ‘A’ share and ‘B’ share ‘A’ shares are priced in the local renminbi yuan currency, while ‘B’ shares are quoted in U.S. dollars. bonds funds

HONG KONG
Hong Kong Stock Exchange • Location: Central, Hong Kong • Established on 1891 as Association of Stockbrokers in Hong Kong and renamed on 1914. • Asia's third largest stock exchange in terms of market capitalization. • HKEx first introduced a computerassisted trading system on 2 April 1986
• It had 1241 listed companies(as on 31 dec 2007). • Indexes: Hang Seng Index • A pre-opening auction session from 9:30 am to 9:50 am. The opening price of a security is reported shortly after 9:50 am. • Operating Hours: 10:00 to 12:30 pm and 2:30 to 4:00 pm
Singapore
Singapore Exchange(SGX) • Location : Singapore • SGX was formed on December 1, 1999, following the merger of the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES) and the Singapore International Monetary Exchange (SIMEX) • It had 762 listed companies(as on 31 dec 2007).
• Indexes: Straits Times Index • SGX's has pre-market sessions from 08:30am to 09:00am • Operating Hours: 09:00am to 5:00 pm
