Motivation is an act of drawing people’s attention towards something that involves hard work and effort. Staying motivated helps students to improve their academics. Once there was a boy who always used to fail in the exams. Then one day, he left his house. While he was walking, he saw an old woman rubbing a big piece of iron. He asked, “Mother, why are you rubbing this iron?”She replied, “I am trying to make a needle out of this.” But he replied, “Will it change into needle?” She said, “If we have patience then we can do anything.”She saw the disappointed face of the boy and asked about his problem. The boy replied, “I always used to fail in my exams, so I left my home.”Then she said, “If I can put effort to make a needle out of this big piece of iron then why can’t you read hard and pass the exams.”Then the boy was motivated from the old woman. A student having poor academics can improve his\her academics by staying motivated. To be motivated a person should:
¾ Study the biography of great personalities. ¾ Have a fixed aim and try to get that. ¾ Ask himself / herself ‘Who am I?’ ‘What am I doing?’ and ‘What am I going to do?’ ¾ Remember those persons who expect something from him / her.
