Kick-start a rewarding career in finance with Stamford’s Banking, Finance and Economics Programmes. The B.Sc. Accounting & Finance programme aims to provide a thorough grounding in accounting and finance within a social science framework. The expertise of various academics and researchers have been utilised in formulating this programme. The course structure is designed to ensure that students develop the necessary critical skills to pursue occupations where an understanding of accounting and finance will be useful. The B.Sc. Banking & Finance programme teaches about management, trade and control of risk in the financial sector. The central thesis of the course revolves around financial resources and the conditions under which financial institutions make these resources available. The student gains a useful insight into the pivotal role of finance in an industrial economy. The B.Sc. Economics & Management programme not only aims to cover the analysis of a certain set of topics in terms of management and the role of economics, but also teaches a logical analysis of social and individual decision making. The economic aspects of the course concern the analysis, not a description, of economic behaviour and policy. The analysis is a mixture of verbal, diagrammatical and statistical reasoning.
