2. Professional Course (9th to 12th Feb 2017) – Basic knowledge of STAADpro required Duration: 24 Hrs ( 6 hr a day for 4 days ) Course Contents: In this course in addition to above mentioned elements of the Basic course in building following Structures with details mentioned shall be covered. 1.

Analysis and Design of Framed Steel Structure along with Plane and Space Truss ( 6 hr )

Analysis of Short and Long span Bridges : ( 12 hr ) ( I ) Introduction to Working Stress Method. ( II ) Introduction to IRC Loads and Recommendations regarding design of Bridges. ( III ) Modeling of RCC Bridge with Two / Three Girder Geometry ( Iv ) Analysis of the Bridge model for Moving loads as per IRC ( Class-A etc ) ( v ) Introduction to the modeling of Steel Truss Bridge / N-Girder Bridge / Foot over Bridge at Railway Stations.

Analysis of Water Tanks ( 6 hr ) ( I ) Introduction to Working Stress Method – Related to water Tank. ( II ) Introduction to different geometries and I.S.1893 Recommendations regarding the Earthquake loading, its direction and combinations. ( III ) Modeling of RCC Tanks with different Geometries ( Square, Circular, Intze etc. ) ( Iv ) Analysis and design Example of an RCC Tank
