Recordings of Elefante y Cerdita Parker Megan y Tico Alex y Tico
What you did during weekend? Every Monday students talk and write about what they did during weekend. In this way they can practice the most frequent past tense verbs. Here is Tico creative way to write about his weekend.
Topics. Alex: City places, parts of the house, vocabulary of food, in the restaurant, menu of restaurants, likes and dislikes, preferences, reading, etc. Megan and Tico: Past tense verbs, types of past tenses (era, estaba..), participle, review have to, and must to, reading, etc. Parker: future simple (will), probabilities sentences, expressing wishes, subjuntivo, types of past tenses (era, estaba..), reading, etc.
Classwork In English is not very common the use of Subjuntivo, but in Spanish we use it a lot. Parker is practicing how to use it with funny images. Tico and Megan are practicing past tenses forms, so they talked and write about how they were when they were younger.
Writing. During this month kids are continuing working in their writing projects. Tico: Cartagena Bolívar, Parker: Niagara Falls, Megan: El jaguar, and Alex: Los perros. Here are doing research and writing their books.
Alex was learning vocabulary about parts of the house, he made the house of his dreams and describe it using the vocabulary learned in class. Recordings of Elefante y Cerdita.

During read aloud time we’ve been reading the series of Elefante y Cerdita. The kids enjoy these books because they are very fun and easy to read. Here are samples of them reading ¿Estás listo para jugar?
