Spring Newsletter As we are nearing recital, there are going to be many fun and exciting events taking place. Please take the time to read through this newsletter carefully and let me know if you have any questions!

Pictures

Pictures will be taken by Liz E. Studio. They are scheduled for Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th all pictures will be taken at the main dance studio. Costumes, hair, makeup, and shoes are required. No extra jewelry, which is not part of the costume, or nail polish, is allowed. Studio A will be used for the girl’s changes. All dancers need to be there for their group picture, any individual pictures are optional. Individual pictures will be taken in the time slot given for your dancer’s picture time. If you have siblings that would like to take pictures together you may do so. Price lists will be handed out in each class in the upcoming weeks. Costumes

Costumes have been coming in and tried on during class time. In your costume bag you should receive all necessary pieces of the costume including the checklist. Please use these as a reference when getting ready for each dance event. Please also check to make sure you have everything on the list. Tights and costumes are to be worn only at dance outs, pictures, and recital. To ensure that our costumes look great for each of these events, please keep them hung up in a special place and be sure to keep all pieces together. I will not be able to replace any lost items in time for these events. Any alterations to the costumes need to be done before the dance outs or pictures!

Makeup

Makeup orders will be coming in soon! Anyone who has not ordered lipstick this year through the studio, please make sure to send us a picture or bring in the correct lipstick to have the lipstick fee taken off your dancers account. The makeup will continue to stay the same color, unless there are any colors that are discontinued. Any brand for black eyeliner and mascara is okay. For your convenience, an online makeup tutorial is posted on our website at www.trinitydancecenter.com. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us at the front desk.

Costume Cover-Ups

If you would like to purchase a personalized costume cover-up for your dancer, they are available to order now! These custom cover ups come with the studio logo on the back and the dancers first name on the front. They can be used to cover up when coming to a dance out, pictures or recital in costume year after year. Come in to the main studio to fill out an order form or see a sample. Orders are due April 12th! Cover Ups are $46.00

Dance-Outs

There will be 3 small performances this year, in which your child(s) class may be performing in. These are not mandatory, but are very important and help each dancer practice performing in front of an audience. Listed below you will find the date, location and time of performance for each dance out. All classes are listed by class day and time as well as their instructor. *Please Note*- the lists below are not in order of performance. No nail polish or extra jewelry that is not a part of the costume (i.e.: earrings, necklaces, rings, or bracelets). Please don’t eat or drink while in costume, only water.

Recital Information Recital Week

Recital will be held June 6th, 7th, and 8th at the Patterson High School Auditorium. Rehearsals will be held the 3th -4th, and dress rehearsal will be on June 5th. All practices for this week will be held at the auditorium. A schedule with the class times will be sent out at a later date. All rehearsals during this week are mandatory, if a dancer misses any practices during this week, they will not be allowed to participate in the recital. Reminder – all tuition and any late fees incurred are due before recital, or the dancer will not be able to participate in recital.

Recital T-Shirts

The recital t-shirts will be used for the production dance. This dance will include all dancers in the entire studio. They price for each shirt is $20.00. Along with the shirts, the dancers need to get their own black jazz pants or black leggings. All dancers will need to wear black socks and black jazz, ballet or hip hop shoes. Please no capris and no faded pants. Money for the shirts is due by April 11th. Please check the studio for the correct spelling and t-shirt size for your dancer(s).

Recital Programs/Advertisements

Programs for the recital will be sold at the door for $2.00. If you would like to put an ad in the program for your dancer(s), please pick up a form at the studio. Ads can include supportive messages from family and/or friends to the dancer. If you also know of or have a business that would like advertisement in the program as well, you may also pick up a form for the business too. Ad prices are as follows: Size Business Card Quarter Page Half Page Full Page All ads are due by May 2nd!

Recital Tickets

Tickets will go on sale Monday, May 6th. There is no limit to the amount of tickets sold per family. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are $13.00 in advance and $17.00 at the door. Anyone who takes a seat must purchase a ticket. Tickets are non-refundable.

Recital DVD’s

Event Pros out of Modesto will be videotaping our recital performance. If you would like to order a copy of the DVD, you can do so by filling out a form at the studio. DVD's are being sold, for $28 each. All orders need to be placed by June 4th. There will be no outside videotaping allowed for the performances.

Parent Volunteers for Recital

The recital takes a lot of help to help keep it running smoothly. In May, we will be posting sign up sheets for parent volunteers. We need help with various things such as security dads for the door, class moms, ticket collector, baking cookies for intermission and so on. The more help we have, the more successful the recital will be!

There is a lot of important information in this newsletter, so please keep it for any future reference.
