Apadrina un artista (A1a) // Sponsor an artist www.apadrinaunartista.es RULES for Artists 1. Free subject and format. 2. The submitted project can be just for production or material exchange without needing any economic support or costs. This cannot exceed 3000 euros. In case of being above this amount, the artist must be responsible for looking for the remaining financing. 3. The artist arranges to accept an agreement with the sponsor organization (this agreement could be to give one of the sponsored pieces, to set up the final exhibition, the catalogue, to obtain materials, equipment, spaces for production or storage or any other kind of agreement between the artist and the sponsor). In any case the sponsor organization must be mentioned or his/her logotype must appear if the sponsored project appear in any publication or space. 4. Who can submit: - National and international artists under 35 years old, as individual or collective. - Artists who have art work from a minimum period of 3 years and have not support to develop their projects 5. Which projects can be submitted: - All kind of mediums - Single pieces or series - The project could be already developed, and the support would be to set it up physicaly, to continue the work in process or to create a new work. 6. For what the support could be asked: - For materials, work spaces, production, catalogue, distribution, dedication, publicity, exhibition or any other justified activity considered needed by the artist for the development of the project. 7. What must be submitted: - A statement of the project with the title, description,

current situation of the work and any other element that could help to understand the project. - A resume of the artist or group. - Photographic dossier with texts, sketches and past works. - Aim of the sponsoring. *Important: The whole material must be submitted in digital format (texts in Word, high quality images, sound in aiff or wave format and videos in avi. or mov.). Any sponsored artist will present a final report justifying the activity during the process and all the costs. Deadline: 16th March 2009 A1a (apadrina un artista) opens this call in order to look for young artists and obtain persons or organizations to produce their works. The aim of A1a is to help artists to get in touch with mediums, but once the agreement is done, any other subject related with the sponsoring will be arrange directly between both interested parties. All the artists must accept these rules.
