LIDAR AND SONAR 

LIDAR (li(ght) d(etection) a(nd) r(anging)) and Sonar (so(und) na(vigation) (and) r(anging))are the modern remote sensing techniques used by various professionals to collect and analyze data. They use different mediums to transmit various types of signals to and from the objects and then analyze the time taken to measure the distance between the transmitter and the objects.

LIDAR REMOTE SENSING Uses laser beams  Measures precise distance measurements  Used in obtaining 3D images with high resolution  It is adversely affected by smoke, rain and fog  has a higher measurement accuracy  LiDAR is cheaper when used in different applications  Data can be collected quickly 

KOMPONEN LIDAR GPS  Inertial Navigation System (INS adalah suatu system navigasi yang mampu mendeteksi perubahan geografis, perubahan kecepatan, serta perubahan orientasi dari suatu benda),  Sensor Laser LIDAR 

Kekuatan sensor LIDAR sangat erat kaitannya dengan:  Kekuatan sinar laser yang dihasilkan  Cakupan dari pancaran sinar gelombang laser  Jumlah sinar laser yang dihasilkan tiap detik

SONAR REMOTE SENSING Uses sound waves  Used to detect under water objects  It is affected by variations in sound speed  Mostly used to find actual sea depth  Is not affected by surface factors  It has adverse effects on marine life  Sonar generates a lot of noise 
