There ‘s a letter we all know. A copycat from head to toe. It borrows the sounds of s and k. What do you think the others say? Poor little c, you have no sound, Better check the lost and found! Does anyone know the sound of c? I wonder what its sound could be! Note to teacher: Scatter assorted “c” pictures throughout the home or classroom for your students to find. Invite them to share their pictures. Encourage them to use complete sentences in sharing their discoveries: “I found cigar, and it starts with the soft /c/ sound.” Place pictures in a pocket chart for children to revisit. You may want to include both sounds of c and then have children sort them.

There ‘s a letter we all know. A copycat from head to toe. It borrows the sounds of s and k. What do you think the others say? Poor little c, you have no sound, Better check the lost and found! Does anyone know the sound of c? I wonder what its sound could be! Note to teacher: Scatter assorted “c” pictures throughout the home or classroom for your students to find. Invite them to share their pictures. Encourage them to use complete sentences in sharing their discoveries: “I found cigar, and it starts with the soft /c/ sound.” Place pictures in a pocket chart for children to revisit. You may want to include both sounds of c and then have children sort them.
