4. Solve any 5 from the following 10 marks 1. The length of the base of an isosceles triangle is less by 3 cm than twice the length of its congruent sides. The perimeter of the triangle is 17 cm. Find the lengths of all sides of the triangle. 2. The sum of the present ages of Anisha and her mother is 70 years. Five years back, mother’s age was five times then the age of Anisha. Find their present ages. 3. Five times the age of Indira is 10 years more than four times the age of Aisha. Find their ages, if sum of their ages is 11 years. 4. The length of the rectangle is 5 cm more than twice its breadth. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 52 cm. Find its length and breadth. 5. Find two numbers whose sum is 70 and difference is 10. 6. Sum of the ages of Shanthi and Rajeshwari is 32 years. Shanthi is elder than Rajeshwari by 2 years. Find their ages. 5. Attempt any 3 from the following 12 marks 1. A two digit number is less by 1 than six times the sum of its digits. The number obtained by interchanging the digits is less by 9 than the original number. Find the original number. 2. When 1 is added to the numerator as well as the denominator of a certain fraction, it becomes 3/5 and if 1 is subtracted from both the numerator and the denominator, it becomes 1/2. Find the fraction. 4. Students were standing in rows for P.T. Exercises. If 10 students less were standing in each row, 3 more rows were required and if 10 students more were standing in each row then the number of rows was reduced by 2. Find the number of students.
