An overview of Jesus’ prophetic message from the Gospels of Matthew, Luke and the book of Daniel.

“And because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall grow cold.” Matthew 24:12 THIS IS HOW JESUS described the callous condition of people’s hearts in the days just before His return. Unfortunately, selfishness and cold-heartedness seem to be on the rise almost everywhere we look. The following news clip from the British Press Authority reflects what’s occurring in most countries: • Britain is in moral decline as people become more selfish and less public-spirited, according to a [recent] survey. • The country is less law-abiding than it was 10 years ago, according to 77% of the people questioned in a Gallup social survey, while 65% said the sense of morality was weaker. • People were also "less likely to get involved" than they were 10 years ago, according to 70%, while 72% thought the country was becoming more selfish. The great increase in the number of abortions worldwide is a typical sign of love growing cold. Thousands of unborn children are being terminated by their mothers on a daily basis with society’s approval.

“And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14

UNLIKE THE RISE in wars, famine, plagues, earthquakes, etc., Jesus said that this particular sign was not merely something to indicate "the beginning of sorrows," but was a specific sign that would indicate when the actual End — Christ’s Second Coming — would be upon the world.

Never in the course of history has the Gospel been preached in all the world to all nations as it is right now. — If not directly by missionaries, it is certainly being preached by the modern mediums of radio, television, movies, telecommunications and the internet. This is a conclusive prophecy by Jesus that shows that you and I are now living in the time of the end!

"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the [second] coming of the Son of Man" Matthew 24:37

How were things in "the days of Noah?" The Book of Genesis tells us "the earth was corrupt before God, and was filled with violence" (Genesis 6:11). We are all painfully aware that today’s headlines are full of tragic stories of senseless violence. VIOLENCE AND FLOODS!

Just like in the days of Noah: Violence prevails, while floods have swallowed entire towns and cities around the world.

Sodom and Gomorrah Revisited “As it was in the days of Lot … even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” Luke 17:28-30

ANOTHER MODERN TREND foretold by Jesus, that again underscores how much today’s world is “without natural affection”, is the prevalence and acceptance of homosexuality. (Also known as sodomy, named after the ancient city of sin, Sodom, where Lot, Abraham’s nephew resided [Genesis 19:4-5].) Society’s view of sodomy is increasingly like that which prevailed in Sodom "in the days of Lot."

So this is another sign of the times; that homosexuality is sweeping across the world. It is not only tolerated in most countries today, but is actively encouraged in many places, while numerous films, recordings and entertainers flaunt and promote it.

Shut up the words, & seal the book, even to the Time of the End:

Many shall run to and fro… Daniel 12:4a

Many running to and fro literally means "speeding about, here and there," or as The Living Bible renders this verse, "travel shall be greatly increased." When you consider that people’s means of transportation — horse and buggy, wagons, camels, sailboats, etc. — did not change substantially for thousands of years, you can appreciate the significance of this prophecy. The number of people traveling today is absolutely unprecedented. Travel and tourism are the biggest and the most energetic industry in the world. It will be one of the three superindustries driving the (global) economy this century. Airports handled 4.4 billion passengers on all services in the 12 month period ending January 2007—equivalent to about two-thirds of the world’s population.

…And knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:4b The term “information overload” was coined for our generation. Seventy percent of all information in our global society has been created since the start of the Internet and is currently doubling every three years. Here are just a few mind-boggling facts on this: • 80% of all the scientists who have ever lived are alive right now. • Every minute 2,000 pages are added to man’s scientific knowledge. The material that is produced every 24 hours would take one person five years to read. • Every day, the equivalent of over 300 million pages of text is sent over the Internet. The nano-chip

• About half of all medical knowledge is outdated every ten years. • It is estimated that over 15,000 scientific journals are being published annually, and that throughout the world well over 1,000 new books are published every day.

We have made tremendous strides scientifically and technologically, are we more fulfilled or happier than our predecessors? Our knowledge has radically increased, but much of our scientific genius has been squandered in the development of armaments and weapons of mass destruction. Hi-tech gadgets and luxuries are also given priority, while many of our fellow humans are hungry and destitute.

" Now the Spirit expressly says, that in the Latter Times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils..." 1 Timothy 4:1 U.S. public schools "departed from the faith" when in 1963 the Bible & prayer were officially banned. On many of the same campuses and universities where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is illegal, accredited courses in the OCCULT, Hinduism and WITCHCRAFT are available to interested students! Hard-core Satanism has been called "the fastest-growing subculture among America's teens", & the revival of witchcraft & the occult is one of the World's fastest growing religions! Falling Away = departing from faith in Jesus

Another sensationalist book challenging true faith.

Professing Christians are departing from the true faith by the millions. Many Christian denominations & established churches are becoming more & more worldly & secular to the point that they have nothing to offer spiritually.

This book claims that “everything we know about Jesus is a lie.”

Here are a few signs: • Bible reading & prayer have been banned from US schools. Atheist Luigi Cascioli, shown in front of the courthouse in Viterbo, filed a complaint against Father Enrico Righi over whether the Roman Catholic Church has been deceiving people by saying Jesus existed.

HARD TO BELIEVE BUT TRUE! How ridiculous is that?

• The teaching of evolution has substituted the belief in a Creator & Designer of the universe. • It’s now unlawful in many US states to display in public places religious symbols that pertain to Christianity, such as; ‘Manger Scenes’, ‘The Ten Commandments’, ‘The Cross’, & many others.
