Welcome to “Sheerluck Holmes” - the fifth annual production presented by Moama Anglican Grammar School. This play offers a humorous depiction of all the clichés involved in a murder mystery. Once again our cast has done an outstanding job in learning lines and bringing their characters to life. For the first time our ‘senior’ drama class of Year 9 and 10 students have taken on the massive responsibility of becoming the production team. They have done a fantastic job! We have also had an incredibly enthusiastic backstage crew. This year we truly have a show that is brought to you by our own students in every way!
Mr Brad Downie
We would like to thank the parents who have volunteered to help with costumes and props – their assistance has been invaluable. A big thank you also goes out to our colleagues who have been a support in accommodating our rehearsal schedule! We hope you enjoy this play. We encourage all students, families and friends to consider becoming involved in the performing arts at Moama Anglican Grammar School. As this area continues to grow, there are terrific opportunities to have fun, meet new people and experience the thrill of being part of special events such as these.
PLOT Set within the framework of late Victorian England, this play is a hilariously extravagant send-up of the great detective and the ever-bumbling Watson! A clever witty script takes an array of characters through the foggy, dark humour of this murder mystery. Never since ‘Hamlet’, have there been so many bodies! Who done it ? Why, it’s elementary....
