Sharing the Load: Exploring Collaborative Qualitative Analysis Combining Analytic Work
Saturate: A Collaborative Coding and Memoing Tool
Learn More
In our study we've found that the collaborative aspects of qualitative analysis are important analytic activities in their own right: discussing perspectives, comparing insights, resolving differences and collectively refining the research focus.
To further explore how tool support for collaboration can be improved, we've created Saturate, a web-based qualitative analysis tool. Saturate supports two main analytic activities: coding and memoing.

Coding and Memoing
Analyzing Webpages
Further Analysis
Work in Saturate is organized around groups of collaborators. Using Saturate, you can code and memo text and survey data. This coding and memoing can be shared with a group.
Webpages can also be analyzed using two bookmarklets: one for writing memos and the other for applying codes. This analysis can also be shared with a group.
In Saturate you can take your analysis further by categorizing codes, writing memos about other memos and voting on the memos that are analytically most interesting.
