Indian special economic zone was structured with the established of the first export processing zone (EPZ) at Kandla in the year of 1965. Several other export processing zones were set up at various parts of India in a subsequent years. The modern day special economic come in1990 into existence because the economic reforms incorporated in the overall growth economy. The special economic zone act 2005 which was subsequently passed by parliament in May2005.
