God can use anything you are willing to give Him to bless the nations! What’s stopping you??
M&Ms, volleyball, and an altar... ...they seem like an unlikely combination, but God has used each one to partner with us in bringing light to the nations! This summer we have encountered some incredible young people, and if He can use them, He can use YOU! “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” -I Timothy 4:12 These young people have discovered a key component in making a difference in the world: there is strength in numbers. We can do more when we rally together than we can alone. We can learn a lot from these youth as they set an example for us! At First United Methodist Church in Millville, New Jersey a group of Sunday School students were given mini-m&ms and asked to return the tube full of quarters. These kids gathered $219.96. At Bethel Park Camp Meeting in Pennsylvania, the youth campers collected $914.25 in pledges from adult campers for competing in games all afternoon. And at Delanco Camp, after a sermon on being willing to answer God’s calling on their lives, campers lined the altar to say “Yes!” to God’s will for their lives! If that won’t change the world, I don’t know what will! Are you feeling as if your offering is insignificant in light of the great needs around the world? Are you willing to give God what He is asking of you and joining others to make a difference in this world for the kingdom? Could you start or join a missions prayer meeting? Could your Sunday School class have a jar for missions offerings? Could your family commit to praying through the book, Operation World? You are not alone, and you can make a difference! Will you?

This fall is filling up quickly! We will be in Kentucky for two weeks in September and then at various churches in New Jersey through November. But we want to connect with you personally. We want to hang out with missions-minded people and hear your stories and help you grow. We want to chat with your missions committee and do missions projects with your church! So even if we are scheduled to be at your church– we want to do more! WGM Student Center 2008

Watch Us Grow!
We hope that this summer God stretched you in new ways, especially in regards to missions. He is continually doing a new thing in our household! Caleb will be 3 in November! He is getting a sense of humor and is beginning to understand jokes! He doesn’t like sharing with Seth yet; its definitely something we’re working on. He has such a tender heart, which makes being an MK tough. But we are teaching him even now to bring his sad heart to Jesus when we have to say goodbye to friends (even if we’ve only known them a week). Pray that he will keep loving people, even when it’s hard to say goodbye. Seth is 14 months and has become so steady on his feet! He is walking, and almost running, alongside Caleb and loving every minute of it! He knows very firmly what he wants and doesn’t mind letting you know if he doesn’t get it. He has had quite a cough this summer, and even took a trip to the ER, but he is doing fine now. He loves to pile on top of Caleb for snuggling and wrestling! Pray that he will learn submit his strong will. Josh and I continue to navigate living with his parents, having a job, being parents, coaching champions, and being married! Pray that we will guard each others hearts!
