Target Throwing Equipment Instructions

1 ball per pair 1 cone per pair Pairs 20m apart with the marker in the middle Aim is to throw the ball overarm and try and hit the marker Have x number of throws per pair

Increase distance Ball must bounce before hitting cone Apply a run value to each hit e.g. hitting on the full = 6 runs, bouncing before hitting = 4runs Step Send Follow through Rink stage 1

Underarm Throw Equipment

Instructions

Time 10 min • 1 ball per group • 1 wicket per group • 3 cones per group • Split class into equal teams • First person in each group starts with a ball and runs placing it next to the first cone and continues to run around the second cone • On the way back, they pick up the ball and throw it underarm to the next person • Repeat • First team finished wins

Include stumps and have students hit stumps Include a run system for stumps hit

Runout Equipment

Instructions

Time 10 min • Per game • 2 bats • 1 ball • 2 wickets • 7 cones • Each game has 2 teams (batting and fielding) • One of the fielding team is wicketkeeper • When teacher blows whistle • 1st batter runs to batting crease and back • 1st fielder runs to stationary ball, fields it and throws to the stumps/wicketkeeper • The batter is out if they don’t cross the crease in time • Repeat until the whole team has run
