Low Self-Esteem You are unique, there is no one in the universe exactly like you! There is nothing good to be gained from comparing yourself to others. (2 Cor. 10:12) We are to love others as (not instead of) ourselves, which means we must love ourselves. (Mark 12:31) Moses had low self-esteem! Who Am I? (Ex. 3:11) I am not a good speaker. (Ex. 4:10) Please send someone else. (Ex. 4:13) Pride You are what you are by the grace of God. (1 Cor. 15:10) Because of original sin, all of us our imperfect and in need of redemption. School/Work Television, Movies, Magazines and other Media You need to shift your focus from what the world thinks of you to what God thinks of you!.

Who are you in God’s eyes? As far as God is concerned, it’s what’s inside, in your heart, that counts, not your outward appearance. (1 Sam. 16:7, Matt. 23:27, John 7:24, 2 Cor. 5:12, 1 Pe. 1:24)

Your place of belonging in God’s family God loves you. (Jer. 31:3, 1 John 4:16) God is your Father (Creator) who created you in His own image and likeness. (Gen. 1:26-27) God knows you completely and intimately, He knew what you would be like before you were even conceived and He has a good purpose for which he formed you and caused you to be born. (Psalm 139:1-16, Jer. 1:5, Jer. 29:11, Eph. 2:10) God has been drawing you to him since your conception. (Psalm 22:9-10) A believer is chosen by God. (Acts 22:14, Eph. 1:3-5, 2 Th. 2:13, 1 Pe. 2:4) A believer is adopted by God. (John 1:12) A believer is a partaker in God’s divine nature. (2 Pe. 1:4) A believer is destined to share in God’s kingdom and glory. (Ro. 9:23-24, 1 Thes. 2:12) Your worth/value to God Jesus believed that you were worth dying for. Through belief in, and acceptance of, His sacrifice, you can be made new, and found righteous before God. (John 3:16-17) A believer is a temple of God’s Holy Spirit. (1 Cor 3:16, 1 Cor 6:19) Your ability to accomplish good things What you believe about yourself affects your limits and therefore your ability to accomplish things.
