Shangri-la hotel: mixed use hotel, restaurant, Spa, and residential project. • Managed client and contractual expectations by giving realistic forecasts on expenditures and time frames for issuing addendums to construction drawings. • Quantified and negotiated change orders arising from site instructions. • Enforced contractual drawings and quality of workmanship by completing bi-weekly site inspections. • Recommended a list of potential contractors which had the labour and financial resources to undertake a project of this size. • Provided value added service to the client when a last minute interior design changes to the restaurant and spar meant the addition of plumbing risers to the base building drawings. I coordinated the new locations with the contractor on same day as the slab was being poured and saved the client an additional fee to core new hole. • Expedited a contentious design and build issues by liaising with architects to gain more space in the boiler rooms for plant equipment. • Maintained excel and word documents for site meetings and site reviews. Warmsworth social housing project: Renovated tenanted social housing stock. • Maintained an annual budget for renovating plumbing and heating systems within the social housing sector. • Issued a scope of work and locations of houses to be renovated to contractors. • Reviewed estimates and awarded contracts to the winning bidder. • Mediated between contractors and tenants on potential litigation issues. • Resolved conceptual and installation issues with the contractor. • Scheduled and directed site meeting with contractors and clients. • Ensured technical support and assistance.
