Awarded to the Best old Bird bearing a SCRCC band. This trophy was created in Chalice’s honor because he was always our “best old bird” having lived until the age of 98 years six months and continued to promote the Roller until his death.

ALL OF THE ABOVE AWARDS MUST BE FOR BIRDS THAT ARE BRED, RAISED AND TRAINED BY EXHIBITOR.

SHOW RULES

All birds entered in team classes are automatically judged in single classes. Birds not in team classes are limited to one class. All birds entered must be Bred, Raised, and Trained by the exhibitor except those birds in classes 11, 12, 13, and 14. 2. LEAVE NO IDENTIFICATION MARKS ON EITHER THE BIRDS OR THE CAGE. All birds will be given the best of care, but are accepted at the exhibitor’s risk. 3. No birds shall be removed from the show room without the consent of the show committee. 4. Standard open cages with clear glass cups and proper closed cabinet will be accepted. 5. In awarding prizes, in the case of ties in totals, the General Effects takes first preference. In case of a tie in General Effects, the first three tours on the score sheet are to be added together. If there is still a tie, then the next two tours on the score sheet shall be added together. If there is still a tie, then the bird that drops a point on the first tour starting at Hollow Roll is to be the loser. The number of tours the bird sings is not to be taken into account. Ties must be settled before the scores are posted. In case of an unbroken tie that still exists, dots will be counted on both sides of the score sheet. 6. Open judging rules and regulations are at the option of the show committee. 7. The judge must not stay at the home or visit the aviary of any exhibitor for sixty (60) days prior to or during the judging, and shall not judge any individual’s birds not exhibited 8. All closed bands are accepted. 9. The 100-point song standard shall govern the contest. 10. If a Master Breeder, Champion, Amateur or Novice live at the same address, they must exhibit in the class of the breeder in the highest class. All birds raised in partnership must be exhibited in the section of the partner having the highest standing. Form 2 – Reverse (Revised 4-18-06)

11. At least one bird in Classes 9 and 10 must be an Old bird. 12. At least one bird in Classes 11 and 12 must be a purchased bird. 13. At least one bird in Classes 13 and 14 must be purchased or an old bird. 14. To be eligible for Southern California Roller Canary Club (members only) awards, an exhibitor must have been a member for a least three months prior to the annual song contest. 15. Classes: Open Competition

NOVICE CLASS: One who has never won first place, single, or team Bred, Raised and Trained by the exhibitor. AMATEUR CLASS: One who has won one first place in the Novice Class, single or team, Bred, Raised and Trained by exhibitor. CHAMPION CLASS: One who has won two first places in the Amateur Class, single or team, Bred, Raised and Trained by exhibitor. MASTER BREEDER CLASS: One who has won three first place in the Champion Class, single or team, Bred, Raised and Trained by exhibitor. 16. A team of birds failing to perform will be given a second trail in the judging room.
