Roxanne Rothafel Period 1 10/12/2008 Science Art Project For this art project, I plan on creating multiple drawings of endangered sea animals. This will be sent to ASCI’s project to help conserve the Florida Keys, and other underwater landscapes that are currently becoming obsolete due to pollution. I plan on drawing at least six different pieces of art, all containing one message, “We, wouldn’t do this to you.” Each word will be placed on a separate paper, and be surrounded by a different general species of animal. The “we,” will correlate to the whales that are slowly disappearing from out planet, including the local whales of the blue whale and the humpback whale. The “wouldn’t,” will be paired with the green sea turtle, the leatherback sea turtle, and the loggerhead sea turtle. The “do,” will be accompanied by the stellar sea lion, and the Guadalupe Fur Seal. “This,” will have the Chinook Salmon, and Coho Salmon. While “to” will have the southern sea otter, and “you” will be surrounded by the Point Arena Mountain Beaver. My paper will be on the different causes of theses animals’ disappearances. I will also include different places they may or may not migrate to, and whether it’s the locals or whether they are slowly fading away due to problems with their migratory routes.
