Our Workshop Newsletter : : Autumn 2008

Hello!

Welcome to our bright, new look Satellite News. We hope that you like the changes. Thank you to everyone who gave such positive feed-back after our Moonstruck Matinee. It was a fantastic day and from what you’ve said, we know that it was a change for the better. Congratulations to Freya Garland and Amy Moore who were our Shooting Stars. We have some fun packed workshops in store this term with lots of new activities to stretch the imagination and build your drama skills. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 December Our spectacular Christmas production will be the RSC’s adaptation of the classic MGM film, The Wizard of Oz. Tickets are now on sale from the Box Office on 01483 444789 from £7 with a great value family ticket from £26. You can also save up to £2.50 per ticket if you book by the beginning of November.

We’re delighted to announce that our Easter production will be Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox, adapted by David Wood. This is a brand new production that we have never staged before. Auditions will be on Sunday 18 January at Lockwood Day Centre. Full details will be available from the beginning of October. You can either pick some up at workshop or download them from our website. This is the only audition date for the production - please keep it free.

celebrate We're putting together our first ever yearbook to celebrate our 18th Birthday, and we need your help. Everyone will have the chance to be a part of it, and we'll send you details on how to join in later this term. We'll also be including full-colour posters and programmes from James and the Giant Peach and The Wizard of Oz, production photos from both shows, photos from our prom and special pages for every satellite. There are a few Birthday Stars and T-Shirts left, available at Workshop while stocks last.
