CLASS NEWS IN ROOM 113 WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO? In math, we are close to concluding unit 2 in geometry and algebra. We will take the test the week of November 30. We begin our new planner HOW WE EXPRESS OURSELVESS, Agents of Change. This is an inquiry into how individuals have made contributions to society through language and the arts. Students will be choosing one person who has made a contribution in language or the arts. They will do a research project about that person and present it as a speech. The students will use props or costume pieces while giving their presentation. Students will be expected to use specialized writing skills and be able to demonstrate how this person was an agent of change. In literacy, we will focus our Book Clubs around “Agents of Change” They will have daily assignments that they will need to complete at school and at home. Look for Book Club Role Pages daily. Review the role pages with your child. Camp was way too much fun!
Voyager Rendezvous was exciting.
